Our 17kw Generac was really struggling every time our 4 ton Lennox AC kicked on during our last power outage. Turns out the factory hard start was toast. Got the Flex and installed it today. Pre Flex the inrush amps measured 114.6. The first start the app showed a drop to 42.3 peak amps. After 7 learns and 10 total starts the app shows 27.2 peak amps and live current 10.8 amps. My generator will thank me and hopefully this will add some life to our 12 year old Lennox. First impression is “WOW”!

I bought this soft starter along with the easy installation kit so I could use my air conditioner while using natural gas on my generator without having to power manage. I contacted their customer service through FB messenger asking for their assistance on the install, I gave them a picture of the wiring diagram and a picture of the inside of the AC panel. They responded within an hour and said they would get back to me the day after. Received the instructions that morning and took less than 1 hour to install with their easy to understand instructions!

Install is simple and it works as advertised. Allows me to run house AC on generator. This is the 3rd one I have installed

Installed my soft start on 5/2023 on a 15 yr old Payne 2.5 ton unit with an LRA of 73 a. My main objective was to run it with my generator with 9500kw starting. Not only did it start up with the gen but the startup is mulch quieter; no more 'rumble'. Also, found my contactor was trashed: brittle plastic that just fell apart. My LRA now runs between 20-40a with a total of 2500+ starts. Not sure of way the variance; usually starts at approx 30+ amps. Overall very satisfied. Install was easy with great cust support. Also have the Easystart on my RV. I can start it with my 2500kw Westinghouse Invertor gen.

My dad has been running this product for the last year and loves it. After this last hurricane I decided it would make my life a lot easier. Running a 2600 sqft house on my 13000 watt gen and having the ac kick on in the heat of the summer pushed then generator to its limit. Mainly because the ac was pulling so much power on the start up. Looks like after about 20 cycles we are around 60 Percent less amps being pulled for the start up process. Also excited to extend the Life of the system!
