How do I love thee, let me count the ways!!!! I grew up in a household with a diabetic family member, so I am well versed in the traditional offerings available as sugar substitutes: saccharine (blech!), aspartame, steviols, etc. Believe you me, I've been exposed to them all - in varying quantities, flavors and disgusting permutations of my mom's recipes, bless her heart. Now, since I'm the mom, my family eats primarily sugar-free as we have a diabetic and others needing to mind their weight. As others have mentioned, Stevia alone just doesn't cut it even though it is much better than the things I grew up with. Oh, I liked it at first (when I started eating healthier, went sugar-free over two years ago and have lost over 50 pounds and kept it off) but eventually began to notice a real aftertaste - especially in my morning coffee, so I began looking for other options besides returning to the bad ol' white cane sugar. MonkSweet is now our favorite option for sweetening. I have used it to make turtle cheesecake, chocolate cake, cookies, caramel sauce (BRILLIANT, just gotta say it!), sweeten my hot cereal, coffee and tea, and in other baked goods and other sweets - because I confess, I have a serious sweet tooth! Although it contains Erythritol in a very fine granulated form, it does not have the cooling effect that straight up Erythritol has (which I don't mind, but without it is even better!). My extended family didn't realize I'd snuck in a sugar-free dessert at Thanksgiving until I told them. There are other yummy monkfruit blends out there, but I love this one (the 5 lb bag) not just because of because of the fantastic taste, but also because of the handle bag, pour spout, and the convenience of it all! My hubby uses it now to make his Texas-style sweet tea (HUGE win!!!!) and you cannot tell the difference between his tea and the real deal - it's just that great a substitute for cane sugar! Also, with the fine granulated form of Erythritol that it contains, it dissolves nicely - comparable to a superfine sugar. My only warning about using it is not to use TOO much or it can be tooth-achingly sweet (without the tooth-aching part, because, hey - sugar-free!). So to that end, I'd say - although monkfruit blends are typically said to be 1:1 substitutes for cane sugar, go a little low on the measure of monkfruit - I usually start with 3/4 of what the recipe calls for in cane sugar and find I have better results with that. Also, I will say that while it hurts my frugal soul a bit to pay this much for 5 pounds of sweetener, if you figure out that you CAN use less with great results, plus figure in the annual cost of weight gain and poor health issues due to the inflammatory effects from cane sweeteners, etc, in the long run it is a great deal. I'm glad I discovered monkfruit, and specifically MonkSweet. My hubby doesn't want any other brand (because he loves the packaging of this one with the pour spout and handle so much!). I highly recommend it!

Update: I believe they have changed the proportions of erythritol, stevia, and monk fruit in this product. It used to be my favorite keto sweetener, so I'm sad to report that it now gives the cooling effect and is slightly less sweet (more erythritol, less monk fruit?). It's far too expensive to taste just like erythritol. I no longer recommend it and am on the hunt for a new sugar substitute. Previous review: I have been a keto eater for over a year and, aside from flour, sugar has been the most difficult thing to replace. This stuff, though, is as close as you'll come to the real thing. I don't get the cooling effect like I do from erythritol, the bitterness of stevia, or the measuring nightmare of monk fruit by itself. It also measures pretty closely to actual sugar when baking. I've read a lot of negative comments about the bag, but I don't see what the big deal is. MOST similar products come in a zip lock type bag (Swerve, etc.). I personally have a giant mason-type jar that holds about half the bag. I reseal it and store the other half in the pantry until I'm ready for it. I have never had any problems with it getting hard; I also haven't had any problems with the seal on the bag. If you have a problem resealing it though, put the whole thing in a gallon size ziplock ... just like you would any other product that comes in these types of bags. As for the pour spout I keep reading about, look at this products' competitors - they don't have a pour spout either and I don't see people crying about it in the reviews. What gives? With a 5 lb bag, it's not like you're pouring the product into a teaspoon with your morning coffee. Put it in a container and use it like you would a bag of sugar for heaven's sake. If the lack of a pour spout is the biggest problem people are having, I'd say that speaks pretty well for the actual product the bags contain.

This is great stuff! It's the one I finally got my husband to use in his coffee (not long before I got him on a non-dairy creamer due to prostate cancer in his lineage and its connection to prostate cancer). Now at home (save for holidays/birthdays and vacations when I still won't anything for which an animal has to be killed), we're a WFPB (whole foods plant based) household. This doesn't have any added "natural flavors" and that makes a big difference to me. I've purchased the 5-lb. bag 5 times so far and the only complaint I have is the lack of a pouring spout on the last one. Until it returns, consider using a canister (I typically hate to think of this kind of plastic use, especially if it's somewhat useless after opening). It's really a challenge to seal the zip closure after pouring out some of the product and if it's left to my husband, I can bet that it didn't really get closed (I'm just waiting for it to get knocked over and spill everywhere). The inconvenience won't get me to stop using it (unless I find something very comparable that has a better container). Steviva, I love this product, but PLEASE bring back the spout!!!

I love, loved Agave, but I realized I needed to cut back. Especially since Dr. Oz said so. ;-) Leave it to him to rave about a product and then say, oops, it isn't as good as we thought. This sweetener has allowed me to cut back on Agave drastically. There are so many sweeteners out there that compete with this product, and I have tried quite a few, but this remains my sweetener of choice. If you are trying to get used to a new product, I think it is a good idea to slowly add it. I mixed my Agave half/ half, until now I use about 1/4 of the amount of Agave, that I did prior to using the MonkSweet. Not sure if I will ever completely exclude the Agave, but I figure I have done pretty good eliminating 75 percent. Sorry, Dr. Oz. I just ordered the Steviva's Monkfruit liquid and I can't wait to try that. If you visit their website, you will see that this company has some great choices for sweeteners. More than I could have ever imagined. I was very impressed by the story on their website about Steviva's, CEO trying to reduce his sugar intake and creating better, more healthy options. Great Job, Steviva!

I have been eating Keto for over a year and have been low carb for several years. I have tried almost every sweetener out there and this, by far, is the BEST sweetener out there. Very little to no aftertaste and I don't get that "cooling effect" others give me. My tip when using this sweetener is to measure out what you need then grind it in a coffee grinder. I do this for all my sweeteners because it cuts aftertaste and also distributes and dissolves better when baking. I will be a loyal customer for life. Also, one last thing- THANK YOU for the cap/spout on the 5 lb bag. I hate, hate, hate zip tops because they never close right. I wish you'd put the cap/spout on all the size bags. So convenient and I don't have to worry about it leaking or wasting any of my precious monksweet 😋 (Picture: for my daughters 10th birthday she requested a low carb chocolate cake with homemade sugar free strawberry jam filling with a sugar free strawberry cream cheese buttercream frosting. Sugar free and DELICIOUS thanks to Monksweet!)

We really need to have as little sugar as possible in our house. Husband is borderline diabetic, I have history in my family. We've been off sugar for years, using Splenda and others before that. But there are so many warnings, I became worried and started researching healthier alternatives. Tried Stevia straight, tasted like licorice to me. Tried Erythritol straight, left a funny cool taste in the mouth. Tried Monks Fruit straight, almost a sickening sweet taste. Monksweet Plus takes all three and puts them together in a product that takes the best from them and minimizes the funny aftertastes. I use it all the time now, in cooking, beverages, everything. It works especially well in baking, cup for cup equivalent to sugar. Sometimes I add a tiny measure or two of Monks Fruit, to make it even sweeter, but not always. Monksweet Plus has really been a lifesaver and gotten me back into baking again!

I FOUND MY SWEETENER! I've tried so many and they have always left me with a bitter taste in my mouth! I know we all have different tastes, so what may be good for one, may not be for another. My last blood test showed my sugars were a little high, so I decided it was time to cut the sugar out. You are looking at someone who puts 6-8 teaspoons of sugar in a regular iced tea glass, so you can see, I was really looking for something that gave that similar sweetness. I've tried stevia, coconut, agave and several others and combinations over these last few months. Artificial sweeteners are a no no for me. No matter what I tried, they just couldn't hold up to plain old sugar. This MonkSweet does. It tastes just like sugar to me. I really can't tell the difference and I've used it in coffee, iced tea, hot tea, kool aid and fresh lemonade. The only difference I notice is in the pocketbook, lol.

I've tried a number of natural alternative sweeteners over the years and started to think finding one I liked was a lost cause; That was until I got my hands on Monksweet Plus. It's hands down the best sweetener out there. Taste is really neutral, definitely not identical to sugar but not far off, and simply the best flavor out of any alternative sweetener I've ever tried. Whole Earth is the only other sweetener I've tried that tastes good (packets from Starbucks, contains Fructose), but for the price Monksweet Plus is a much better deal. I don't have any health issues that require me to use this sweetener, really just wanted to cut sugar out of my diet where possible and this stuff works wonders. I've never baked with it but it goes excellent in coffee, teas, homemade soda, etc. I highly recommend this product.

I've tried them all in an effort to escape the negatives of sugar, with Splenda being the sweetest ... and Stevia the next best... until now. This MonkSweet+ Stevia product exceeds all the rest in terms of taste... and gets the nod for having a pleasant, naturally sweet flavor without any hint of an after taste. It looks, tastes and cooks much like sugar but requires 50% less to achieve the same degree of sweetness. The best aspect is, it carries none of the negative effects of all the others... no calories, no blood sugar spike, no net carbs, no cavities, no funky aftertaste, and no hidden health impact. Give it a week or so to adjust to the new normal... you won't be sorry. Great product... I just reordered a couple more 5 lb. bags directly from the source website, even more economical than Amazon!

I was hesitant to try this sweetener because of the price. And it is on the pricey side like most non-sugar sweeteners, but I have to say this one is the best tasting sweetener that we have tried. I use it in my tea and coffee and can once again enjoy the flavor of the drink. We used Stevia products for a long time but it made my tea have such a bitter flavor, but MonkSweet Plus has allowed me to once again enjoy a good cup of hot tea. I was disappointed however that the 5 lb. bag that I received did not have the screw-top opening as was pictured. I was excited about the convenience of that, but the sack I received was the old-fashioned zip-lock bag -- and it will not reseal! So I am very happy with the product, but very unhappy that I did not receive the package that was pictured.

This was one of my first forays into artificial sweetener beyond Splenda. I've gone really low carb and needed something that would work in some of my baking recipes and this does the trick. One day my husband prepared a glass of tea for my mother and used this instead of the normal Splenda. He used a bit too much and my mother was convinced he'd put a few tablespoons of pure sugar in there and didn't want to drink it. I had to show her the bag to convince her it was not sugar. I was really impressed. I've only cooked with it once so far and didn't like the results, but I think it was the recipe (cinnamon does NOT go with blueberries) and not the sweetener. I will definitely be buying more when I use this batch up.

Great deal for the price. I have tried just about every alternative sweetener out there and this one is one of my favorites. Stevia or erythritol on their own each have their own unique disadvantages. I have also used stevia/erythritol blends, but found oftentimes that things were not quite sweet enough. This blend with added monk fruit (and no filler ingredients/bulking agents) seems to be closer to a 1:1 substitution for sugar, but not quite. That said, my sweet tooth has already adapted to eating less sweet things, so YMMV on how sweet you find it. I have not noticed any odd aftertaste. I'm really happy with this sweetener and the price for the 3-pack is quite good compared to most other sweetener blends.

This stuff is seriously amazing. I've been able to replace this with everything I would use granulated sugar for. Two weeks ago I made low carb sugar cookies (made from almond and coconut flour) with maple cream cheese frosting (cream cheese, maple flavoring and for the replacement of confectioners sugar I just put this stuff in the Nutribullet and voila! confectioners Monkweet Plus) Last week I made a low carb pumpkin cream cheese cake with this for Thanksgiving and it was amazing. Everyone in the family loved it and no one knew it was practically sugar free!! This works as a 1:1 ratio to regular refined sugar. I plan on making Christmas cookies with this as well. I will buy again and again and again.

I love this product especially knowing it is all natural, and that you are not ingesting chemically processed products like splenda and equal. It tastes great with no after taste at all. I have recommended this product to family and friends. My only negative is with its new packaging. They used to have on the top of the 5 lb bag a pourable spout with a cap which was great and very convenient, they have replaced this with a ziplock which I have yet to get a bag that closes well since the switch. Please bring back the pourable spout I would pay the extra to have it back on the bag.

1. Taste - wonderful, no after taste. 2. Erythritol component - I don't begrudge them for the dominant erythritol component after learning that it's the component that brings the volume as it's the 70% sweetness component. The stevia and monkfruit are the super concentrated components. No digestive issues for this customer. 3. Packaging - Genius, with the screw top spout instead of ziplock style. 4. Health - Kosher, doesn't stimulate insulin, Keto friendly, yada yada. Works for me. 4. Price- Kind if pricey but worth it, as this no BS product quite simply, delivers
