I have 3 on my boat. The units works perfectly on the local router, but because I have a wireless 5G connection (Peplink) as stated, it needs port forwarding, which is not achievable without a PhD in WiFi configuration. I found a workaround using an old Samsung tablet running 24/7 on the boat operating the EasyTouch software and remote access software to the tablet called "AirMirror" on the on boat tablet and my cellphone. Kludgey, but it works and gives me off-boat access and control via 4G/5G and Marina wi-fi without port forwarding. In today's world, where my on-board CCTV cameras, my Victron power system remote, my water sensors and my Nest all provide remote control WITHOUT port forwarding, this situation is inexcusable. This is easily solved by MicroAir re-writing updated software on the MicroAir EasyTouch for Marine. A major shortfall and very disappointing for an otherwise good product.

It works great except to use the wifi capability to to start the a/c from home, I would have to configure the wifi router at the marina for port forwarding. I don't have access to the router. It needs to operate via a cloud service for those that can't access router settings. Is there any solution for me?

I was super excited to get this unit. That excitement quickly dissapeared after I got it installed and the WiFi capabilities were disabled. Nowhere did I read that the WiFi only works with specific control boards. That would have been nice to know before the purchase since it was my only reason for buying it in the first place. The strange thing is that it controllers my Marine Air unit perfectly. Plugged it in and it worked right out of the gate. Not sure how the WiFi functionality is tied to the control board, but that's what I was told. Too bad, had to return it.

I was in a pickle as my old legacy Marine Air Passport Vector control stopped adjusting temp up or down. Could not find any stock due to age, and of course Marine Air does not make them any more. My service tech suggested this touch screen substitute...it is so simple to operate, and really updates that older marine air conditioner. Out of the box (along with an updated board) and it was working right away. The touch screen is very intuitive to operate...however if you want to get complicated, there is a 44 page manual to explain all the things it does. I am okay with the on-off, raise-lower temp, adjust fan, adjust mode functions LOL.
