First, the thermostat is the bomb. Hooks right up to our 2.4ghz hotspot and is accurate when adjusted properly. Takes a little getting used to, but i love it. I can keep an eye on the temps for the dog and it sends alerts to me when it hits my perimeter. The ONLY negative is that they say it’s a direct replacement which is 99% true. My OEM therm was vertical, this one is horizontal. I had to buy the backing plate which covered all holes. Not an issue but they don’t tell you that. That is the ONLY drawback. Highly recommend both products if you want to monitor your temps for pets.

I recently purchased and installed the backing plate for my thermostat and I have to say it improved the look (as if) of the unit as a whole 100 times better. A bonus is it also secured to thermostat to the wall like crazy! No more fighting to keep the thing on the wall as you roll down the road. The thermostat clips onto the plate and hangs on for dear life! If you do purchase it you won't be sorry!
