I like the appearance of teak and this tray shows of the wood's color quite well. It is fairly large and may not fit in locations like a bathroom counter. But there are many uses to which it can be put: holding items on a vanity table or even in the kitchen are just two ideas. It can even be used as a serving tray for food and drink.
Other reviewers have noted the open slat design for the bottom. Small items could fall through or liquids could leak to the surface underneath. I would recommend that it not be used in wet areas or with items that tend to get wet or leak. The sides are high, which could be a plus for some purposes, such as holding larger items in the bedroom or a guest room, for magazines, tissues or other items.
It arrived wrapped in plastic in a shipping carton, with a small card from the manufacturer thanking the purchaser. It reads, in part, "Dear friend, It is a great honor to share the most precious item with you." An email contact is provided as well. I wish more sellers would include such information.
