I enjoyed escaping into the pages of this one, I loved the way both Lily and Greer connected, she's managed to make a new start in Enigma but fears her family finding her so when she hears about two men looking for a missing woman she assumes they are after her and panics.Lily first met Greer who along with his companion has been tasked with finding the missing woman. As soon as Greer and his friend entered the diner where Lily is working Greer feels something he never expected to feel, a connection to Lily and he knows instantly that she's his mate! Both try to fight the truth, she fears he won't want her if he learns the truth, but as far as he's concerned he'll go to any lengths to keep her safe but will he be able to save her when/if her past comes calling?The book has two well-drawn, likeable characters who share a great connection as well as palpable chemistry, and an enjoyable storyline that has something of everything. action, secrets, intrigue, romance, chemistry, hope for a future and most importantly love!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really like the way this story starts, with Lily working in a diner across the country from where she grew up. We are told that she escaped her horrible clan with only the clothes on her back and no money, but we do not know the back story until she overhears two old gossips in the diner discussing two new men in town. Those men are searching for a missing shifter and Lily assumes it is her they are looking for. At this point, we discover the kind of shifter that she is and a lot more. This is the beginning of a very twisty story with several sub-plots that all come together at the same time. Lily has to make some decisions with very little notice. I loved the characters and getting to see them figure things out and find their happy ending. Lily escaped from her family and the life they wanted for her so when two strangers come to town asking questions, she is worried that it has something to do with her family locating her. I loved the banter back and forth between Lily and Greer. He won't go away. He isn't sure exactly what it is about Lily but he is drawn to her and even though he is looking for a missing woman and on a short time frame, he just can't get her out of his head. I loved seeing them work through things and figure it out in order for them to find their happy ending and get together. This story pulled me in from beginning to end and I really enjoyed it. Wolf Bated is the second book in Eliza Gayle’s Enigma Shifters and a fabulous story of instant attraction, a slightly crazy waitress with an unstable family and a wolf shifter who knows what he wants and is determined to get it…..her! Eliza Gayle has long been a favourite author of mine and stories like Wolf Bated are the reason why. Fast-paced, easy to read and filled with heat and excitement, this is definitely a fun, intriguing and enjoyable read. What an amazing follow up to Dragon Mated! I love how Greer can see his mate past her anxieties, and brings her peace and safety. They are the perfect couple and compliment each other so well. The author did what she does best with this book, and just made it a seamless extension of the world she has created. I enjoyed getting to see more of my favorites, and getting a little glimpse of what is going on with the clan. I can’t wait to see what happens next with both clans. I’m sure it’s going to be amazing!

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Wolf Baited by Eliza Gayle is the third book in The Enigma Shifters series. I enjoyed Greer and Lily's story. This was a quick read that was emotionally charged. There is a lot of drama and angst, brief moments of humor and the beauty of a shifter finding their mate. While this read is best enhanced by reading the series in order, it can basically be read as stand alone.This honest and voluntary review was made possible by obtaining a copy through Booksprout.

Runaway bear meets a wolf searching for a runaway... Good story, although Jax (the alpha, not the hero) did not endear himself to me. I didn't feel like he really had the back of his clan member... the whole maybe, but the one, not so much. I didn't understand Lily's decision process... mostly because she shut herself in a room and didn't share it with the reader either. Decent read, but didn't make me want to read more of the series. I didn't read book 1, but it wasn't necessary.

The heroine from the last book is the best friend of Lily. Lily is a bear shifter running from her past, literally.When two men com into Enigma searching for a run away woman, she just knows they are looking for her.Greer sees Lily in the Cafe and knows there is something special about her but he isn't sure what. He and his partner have to find a woman wanted by the council so he doesn't have time to figure out what is happening. Or so he thinks.

Growly, fast paced love story between Lily (a runaway bear) and Greer (a wolf shifter). Lily is running from her family in Alaska and Greer is looking for a different runaway female. Wires get crossed and Lily thinks Greer is tracking her to send back to Alaska. Little does she know that one sniff of her scent tells Greer that she is his mate and he will let nothing stop him from claiming her as his own!

This well written book 2 in The Enigma Shifters Book Series was entertaining with well-thought out scenes, characters, and story. These characters have strong wills, personalities and believable interactions.This story has the following: intrigue, twists, turns, adventure, action, love, steam and a HEA. It is a well-paced, engaging shifter book that will keep you hooked from start to finish.

Wolf Baited is book 2 of Eliza Gayle's The Enigma Shifters series. Some of the characters are crossovers from her Southern Shifters series. This book can be read was a stand alone from the other series. Greer is a hybrid wolf shifter and Lily is a bear shifter but fate has a plan. The characters are totally relatable. The storyline draws the read in and has you hooked and ready for more.

Yay for mates! I love it when it just happens, and even more so when one, or both, insist on denying it. This book had all that, and more, with some suspense, and some heartaches. Loved the characters and how different they were, but still connected and cared. This book had me waiting for the magic moment between these two, and it did not disappoint when it came!

I love the fated mate trope and the town of Enigma has a wonderful cast of supporting characters. Lily having run away from a totally backward clan she is trying to fit in with Enigma’s clan and struggling. When Greer and Calder arrive in town Lily’s misconceptions get her in trouble. Unraveling Lily’s mess is witty, and sweet and heartwarming.

This was such a fun story, small town with larger than life shifters. One is hiding the other seeking but until covered in food it wasn't due to each other. I can't wait to r e ad more.
