When he arrives he knows that he needs to find out what happened to her. Jami is a drug counselor that has had another patience die. When Drago asks for her help, he found so much more. Jami is his true mate and she affects him like no other. He has the same effect on her. Things get complicated fast when it appears there is someone after Jami. I thought the story was well written with really good characters. Dragon Mated is a sweet romance without a lot of world building. That makes it nice for a quick, easy read so you don't get caught up in terminology or social status. However, it leaves out a lot of detail regarding the other dragons and what it means for Drago to be half human and half shifter. The book also doesn't delve enough into Jami's abilities or the voices in her head, which I would have liked to know more. Other supernatural beings are trying to take Jami so there is the added suspense to the book. The final leap of faith Jami took and the bear shifter humor was also a plus.This is a voluntary review of an ARC.

This work was great, a lot went on in a short amount of time in this work and I’m eager to see where the next book goes. I enjoyed the character development over the course of the plot. It was a rather quick read, making it a good break from the day. The plot was decent and seemed to move smoothly. There were some holes with the paranormal lore and it almost was like I was missing something, as if there were books I should have read beforehand.I give this a four out of five stars. This is my first introduction to this author and I enjoyed exploring all the characters. Maxim, the dragon shifter, meets Jami, the psi being. I liked how Jami just wanted more than being told she’s Maxim’s “true mate”. She wanted more than being told her relationship was fate alone. How the rest of the town of Enigma is being divulged will probably continue to be shown through future books. I wish more had been discovered about Jami’s abilities but that’s the only downer in this story. I enjoyed Maxim’s protection, Jami’s trust, and the subtle humor throughout.

(This is a Mature Readers Only Read) I really enjoyed the story line, it pulls you in and keeps you flipping pages. Jami and Maxim have chemistry right from the start that will make you sweat! I loved the integration of the bears and the fact that Maxim has always been a loner. I really liked how the story unfolded with our heroine’s discovery of everything. After being plagued by feelings, voices, bad luck, and all-around misery, Jami is presented with all the pieces that make everything come together. Maxim enters her life with a bang, and watching him control, or not, himself was a big part of the appeal of the story. Of course, the chemistry between them in instant and strong, and the feelings follow along at a rapid pace. Fated mates are a weakness of mine, and this one does it so well!

Dragon Mated kept me reading to the very end. A strong heroine who finds herself in a very unsettling and scary situation as she tries to help her former clients very strong and determined brother who wants answers about the sister he did not get to before she was murdered. As the two struggle to solve the facts around Sondra’s death, Jami and Maxim must also learn about each other and the undeniable connection that draws them together.Skillfully crafted with attention to detail and mechanics.

If I could I would give this book a 4.7. What a wonderful beginning to a series I can't wait to one-click. The way Ms. Gayle laid the foundation for the shifter community left me asking, 'Now how did she know that?' And any time an author can do that to me (which, by the way not too many can) it lures me in and makes me finish the book in one sitting. Jami and Maxim belong together. This is a great 'suspension of belief' book you won't want to miss.

Most shifter stories are quite explicit when it comes to mating scenes. Dragon Mated was different. While it had some language, most of the descriptions were downplayed. This is something refreshing. It's nice to be able to fill in the blanks without having every action described in detail. I enjoyed Jami and Maxim's story, though I guessing from the ending they will pop up in other stories in this series.

These characters are professional people with busy lives when they crossed paths thru a common loss. The storyline includes solving mysteries; learning shifters exist; and the realization that when you find the ONE meant for you, commitment and compromise are easy and the rewards are more than anything ever imagined. Plenty of crazy situations, steamy romance, and HEA make this book an entertaining read.

Jamie and Drago get together because Drago's sister overdoses like some of Jamie's other clients have. The story is about the search for answers and how Jamie and Drago work together and end up falling in love of course. It is sad how little Drago knows about being a dragon shifter and the fact that he thinks he is the only dragon in the world. I enjoyed reading this book.

What a fantastic read! The author created this fantastic town and filled it with characters that felt real and were easy to connect with. I love the drama of the unknown and the excitement of new love and especially the hint of more stories to come. This book kept me enthralled until the very end and I can’t wait to read whatever comes next from this author.

I loved reading this dragon story ! The dragon was half human and half dragon.The woman he falls for is his dead sisters drug therapist who identified her body at the morgue. If you'd like to find out the whole story then you'll have to get this book. I definitely recommend it.I voluntarily read this book as an Arc.

Love the way Maxim came to find he mate eventho it was kind of sad. He was looking for his sister and come to find out she was cremated and was a narcotic addict. But, he wouldn't believe this to be the fact about his sister at all. He think she was murder and he was right. Jami help him prove this was so.

I loved this story. Drago, is a big temptation, as a possible True Mate. For a very confused, scared, and exhausted girl, who has no idea why she's hearing voices in her head, and can't sleep for nightmares. He just kinda sweeps in all hot, and protective, to completely turn her world upside down.
