Whoopee! If I could write this higher than five stars, I surely would. There was plenty of everything action, adventure, mystery, and wild, Wicked sex! The book grabs you in the first chapter and doesn't let you go! It has everything you're looking for and expect, and then some. Exceeded my expectations! If you like down and dirty with the other elements mixed in, this book is for you. I can't wait for the next book.

I loved Kira and Lucas. Kira needs to mate - like now or else she will go crazy. Lucas is a prisoner and doesn't realize that Kira is his mate right away. By the time he realizes the deal, Kira is halfway to looneyville and sentenced to death. It's a great book with lovable characters. I loved the lengths Lucas would go to in his effort to protect his mate to be but of course Kira is sort of a bad a$$ in her own right. So she wants to catch the bad guys on her own, which of course she gets captured instead. Great action, great love, and great fun. I can't wait to read Mate Night - Kanes story.

Action an love an sex thru out story. Just need to find out what happen to her mom and now it needs to follow their life an kids. What kind of power will they have and how many kittens at a time ;)

A man needing to be rescued and a woman who desperately needs him but does not want him. I love the premise of this story. The characters were interesting and I wanted to read this book so I could learn more about their lives. I love it when the author has additional characters that are so interesting you hope the next book in the series is about them. I also love it when there are bad people who need to be killed. But, who is bad and who is good? Or maybe it is a little in between. I also love a book that makes me think, and this one did that.

I realllllyyy enjoyed this book. I loved the story between Lucas and Kieran. I love to read shifter stories and Eliza Gayle delivered. Her style is crisp and meaty, if you can describe it that way! I thought the addition of Kane was hot too. I was given this book for an honest review but I had already purchased it. I am a true Eliza Gayle fan. I liked how true to tradition Lucas was in this story and how he wanted to do what was right. I liked how Akira was a strong woman not some sappy weak wristed maiden. Good job!

This book included a lot of elements that I really enjoy - shapeshiters, psychic abilities, romance and a strong female h. The book captured my attention immediately with Kira's psychic vision of Lucas, seeing through his eyes and sensing his barely contained anger at being locked in a cage. She recognizes him as a shifter and her mate even though shifters do not mate outside their clan. From there she uses her skills to locate him and free him from captivity as they face other trials. The story held my interest throughout and would recommend it to others who enjoy this genre.

They way they meet is very unusual, in there dreams.And since he is in danger and she is working for the military she needs to find him before it is to late, since he is her mate.But when she finds him, he doesn't trust her, but he does want her.They have lots of many steamy hot and sexy moments together.But in between they have to fight for the lives and their love.Great read.

I loved it. I have always been a fan of Gayle's work but this book was exceptional! Exciting! Imaginative! Well Written! Smart! Thrilling! Romantic! Totally Sexy! And Hot as Hell! Oh my! Intriguing characters that jump off the page and grab your attention! A fantastic story that captivates and enthralls you! I was hooked from the very beginning and totally addicted until the very last page. Totally hot male shifters-check! Sassy sexy female-check! Great story-check! A lot of romance and lots of hot sex-check and check! What more could you ask for? Right? Hubba! Hubba!

This book is SO ....INTENSE, HOT AND SEXYI couldn't put it down ..I read it in one day ...it's one of those books that grabs you at the beginning and doesn't let you go ..when it's over you are looking for more ....

It's wonderful to find book 1 in a new series! I first started a few days ago when I was reading about southern shifters in a novella, and was trying to find book 1 thru a wide range of authors. Until, I read a comment from the author on where her inspiration came from!Eliza Gayle does a wonderful job and I'm excited to read the rest in this series and then go back to the novellas!

I have read so many shifter books by different authors and I gotta say I love the take on this one. Intense isn't a strong enough word....need a cigarette after each scene even though I don't smoke sounds more manageable

WOW what a great story. We meet a guy locked in a cage. We meet a woman with psychic powers. She keeps having dreams about her mate then she has a vision of him in a cell. While trying to help him he thinks she is the enemy. She is slowly losing her mind. Will he ever learn to trust her? Will he learn what is wrong with her? What will happen next?

Love shifter books and Eliza take you on an adventure with Lucus Gunn, guardian/shifter who was captured and being held prisoner. And Kira who is telepathic of sorts and hears him in her thoughts needing help. The twist and turns keeps you on your toes reading this one. I liked the whole story, very well written. I will be getting the other books in the series to keep me up with the ‘Guardians’. A must read if you like paranormal.

'Lucas' is such a great paranormal romance story. I loved it. The storyline was very well written and executed in such an awesome way. The hotness level is off the charts erotic. Holy hotness! The characters were great. I loved how the story sucked me in and continued with its hold on me until the end, and left me wanting more. This is a series I will definitely follow. A must add to your tbr list. Recommended!
