Thrilled. Loved the drama, the romance and the DOM's. Can't wait for the follow up books in purgatory series. I wish there were more to see about Levi, Gabe and Leo. Great writing even though there were a few errors.

Enjoyed some aspects of the book but the blowing hot-and cold from tori was annoying to say the least. It’s not a keeper and not sure I’ll read any further.

Having read the first book in this series, I was quite interested in the second book. Apparently there are several other books set in or around Purgatory prior to this particular series. Based on the strength of these first two books, I may well have to go look up the others.Levi is a man haunted by his past. He is one of several sons of a notorious evangelist who bilked the public and has spent his lifetime trying to avoid that legacy, traveling the globe, joining the Marines, etc. Finally though he decides to go home and that's when he runs into Tori and her adorable daughter.I'm not a big fan of kids in books because a lot of the time they serve no purpose in the plot other than to be adorable moppets but they're not really important to the story. In this case, the daughter was because of her repulsive father who ends up trying to kidnap her in order to blackmail Levi and his brothers.Tori is a strong woman. She knows she is submissive, yet acts as a Domme at Purgatory. Levi of course isn't fooled by that and from the very first scene at Purgatory, wowser, I needed a fan. There was some hot action in this book, and it didn't even lead to consummation in the early sections of the book. Yeesh.Poor Levi. Sucks to be him at times, but he was on the right path, going home to face down what he's spent his lifetime running from. He's a good man, despite what some might think instinctively just because he's got some tattoos. Tori certainly didn't mind the tatts. Heh.So, yeah. I loved this book and I liked getting to see the couple from the first book continuing on in their relationship. I hope the third one comes out soon! Loved that this sort of continued the story from the first book. Hannah is Tori's daughter and when Levi and her meet it is quite entertaining. Lots of secrets are revealed and steamy scenes in the club.

Although the book has a BDSM theme, this is not what the book is about and that is a big bonus. The BDSM is written as a sexual preference for the characters rather than the book solely being around what `BDSM scenes' can be told in detail.I love the way the suspense is written into the storyline and the fact that you were kept guessing through the book as to what would happen next. I loved being able to try and piece things together page by page and you literally do page turn with this book. I was slightly disappointed in the way that the situation with Bill was dealt with and I would have loved that to have been expanded on.The characters are real and so easy to connect with; they could be your own friends. The emotions that the characters experience are palpable and you find yourself sitting there with tears in your eyes or your own heart pounding in response to what the characters are feeling. The book takes you in to its reality and leaves you with a book hangover and eagerly anticipating the next book in the series. That's another thing I love about this book is that it drops subtle hints as to other storylines that can and hopefully will be picked up in another book.I am a big fan of alternative POV's in a book and there are a few in this book. It's not often and not enough alternates to confuse the reader.

Master that is. The guys in this series are hot. The sex great the story line one that is a little out there. It does make you want to finish the series to find out the whole story

This is a good read but do not start here. This series is all about the past impacting the present and has a very strong series story arc which was introduced in book 1, Tucker’s Fall. And no, it’s not resolved in this one, either – but we do get more details and hints in this one. All we really know for sure is something BAD happened in the past which shattered the lives of the participants. The series arc is not resolved but Levi and Tori’s story? Oh yeah, nice ending.If you like your heroes tortured and little twisted, Levi is the guy for you. But although the whole BDSM thing is an integral part of the story [and definitely steams up the sex scenes], it’s not what the story is about. I like that. It tells the story of two people who are kinked but not solely about kink. Hannah is a five-year-old who’s willing to share her crayons. Tori is first and foremost a single mom who loves her daughter and bakes the world’s best pies. Levi is a guy who spent the last years of his life running from his past and is now trying to find a future. They all just want to belong. Once again Eliza delivers a hard hitting turn with the Purgatory Masters!!! Never disappoints!!! Each character comes with depth, real life issues, hurts and joys! Together overcoming situations that one should never face alone. The passion is a true connection without getting in your face with over the top porn scenes! Love this authors work and she never leaves me disappointed!

The Purgatory series is so good!! Levi, Tucker, Mason, Nina have been through a lot, but they have each other and are working through their pain with the help of those who love them. Levi and Tucker 's books are so good - can't wait for Mason and Nina to get their HEA! And what about Tucker's mom? Oh man.....patience is really hard to come up with right now!!!! Congratulations Eliza, great book and series!

Great story. I do enjoy the bad boy finding his match and it started over a piece of pie. This is book 2 in Eliza Gayle's Purgatory series and while Levi and Tori get there story, we are still learning about how Tucker, Mason and Levi are connected. I'm hooked. Levi and Tori are a hot couple, the connection was instant for me. The story mixed drama, suspense and a healthy dose of romance. They heated up the pages and pulled me into the story.

I really enjoyed Levi and Tori's story. The past coming to bite both of them in the butts is quite interesting. I enjoyed the drama and action that is involved. The Purgatory family is crazy and they bicker a lot but deep down their unorthodox family is loyal and passionate. The ties that bind them to each other is interesting and I believe once Mason and Nina's true secrets are revealed Tucker and Levi's tales will deepen. Read the books in order it helps and then you don't have spoilers.

3.5 starsI'm a fan of this genre but sometimes I have a problem with the female lead. For some reason, many authors choose to create a woman with no spine & prone to constant weeping & need of rescue. If that's your preference, great. But for me it can spoil the whole book, regardless of the dramatic elements or hot sex.There is a nice synopsis of the plot above so I won't rehash it. You have a strong single mom, cute daughter & struggling military man. Tori & Levi are both determined to have better lives & find some peace from the secrets in their pasts. Levi is also dealing with PTSD-like symptoms so while there's no doubt he's an alpha type of guy, he has a vulnerable, wounded side. I particularly liked the scenes between him & Tori's daughter. He's as drawn to her as he is to her mom but that's where the similarity ends. His attraction to Tori involves the BDSM club he owns with his brother & while their scenes sizzle, they're never too extreme.You like these two & can't help but cheer them on as they circle each other on the way to their HEA. Add some drama & inventive sexual encounters & you have a quick read that is an entertaining escape from reality for a few hours.This is the second of a series & can be read as a stand alone novel. However, there are returning characters & ongoing story lines that are built upon so it's a more satisfying book if you have read the first one.

Loved the the characters and story development! Couldn't put it down and still want more! A good fun read. Can't wait to read more.
