My son uses this indoors. His bedroom is located on the second floor. I can never hear when he's bouncing this ball unless it hits the wall. It works well outside as well. He has used this to keep training on ball-handling. It seems to be very durable and can withstand players that might be rougher than most.

A really nice and light weight basketball. Grandkids just love playing with it. Cat doesn't like it very much at all.

love this ball. No silent basketball is 100% silent, but this ball is pretty close.

I wanted to get an indoor/outdoor so I could play outside in my yard and not to bother my neighbor too much. This is the only one listed as outdoor silent basketball. This ball is a foam ball like others but cover with a thin cloth. For outdoor use, I can't see how this ball would last because it's a thin cloth. If any silent basketball could come up with a tougher covering material, it's going to sell. All that being said, it bounced well and I like it a lot playing it indoor. I also like the feel of this ball. My only complaint like I said it's the covering material. Overall, it's a good silent basketball.

First, this is not “silent.” I doubt there is any such thing. However, compared to dribbling a regular basketball in the house, this one is tolerable. Size is NBA regulation size, 29.5, and has good weight. Although it says it can be used outdoors, the cover material is not durable enough in my opinion. On carpet, the sound is very low. The “anti-grip” cover is interesting, as it is a bit slick. This is supposed to help improve grip strength and ball control. Good option for players who insist on bouncing a ball in the house!

This is a nice full size foam ball with the grooves and texture of a real basketball. It has good bounce too and is very light weight. I got it for my daughter who plays for her middle school team and loves to dribble around the house. Now she can practice her skills without being so loud and possible damage to my house.

We live in the SoCal mountains, where our yard is sloped and not set up for practicing, getting to a court is a good drive, and our weather really varies throughout the year, snow and cold for 4-5 months, and that right during basketball season. This is really a great option for us. I have a 10 and 12 year old who love basketball, but we've had trouble getting them space to practice their dribbling (because who wants to practice dribbling at a court where one can practice shooting?). It's not a perfect replacement, doesn't bounce quite as well, and some other minor differences, but the benefits far outweigh any issues. It bounces fine, and works great indoors and in our garage, not making anything near the noise, and able to serve as a really useful, regular practice tool for us. Getting another one so both my kids have their own.

This silent basketball has good weight and feel to it, close to a real basketball. Definitely enjoy using it indoors and it is very quiet. The only cons I have is wished it had more of a grippy skin. The skin has no texture and almost slides out of your hands. Also, it could bounce a little higher. You do have to put in some effort on getting it to bounce like a real basketball would bounce. Other those reasons, it's a good indoor training tool.

I have a few of these silent basketballs. They typically look and feel like giant nerf foam balls. Unlike the other balls this one has good weight and feel. The cover on the ball makes a difference. This silent ball feels closer to a real ball. I can use this ball inside the house on hardwood floors and carpet very easily. This will not replace a real basketball but this is the best one I have used. The quality of this product is legitimate. This is a great option for practicing inside your home without disturbing anyone.

Not sure if it's the official ball, but it's made with good quality. The ball has a thin cover around it. It makes the ball feel weird in my hand since basketballs dont have a covering over it. Having the sleeve over it doesn't make it feel comfortable when bouncing it. The ball is firm and didn't come out of shape. It was in a box so it kept its shape. It does bounce nicely, but with the sleeve it slows down the dribble.
