First of all, I will say that these do feel nice and cooling when I first put them on. This feeling starts to fade within a few minutes, though. Unfortunately, they didn't stay on very well. I've tried them three different times now, and at best, they stayed on for about an hour before falling off. With the first one, I put it on my knee. When it fell off, I wasn't super surprised. I figured the joint might cause it to fall off, and I figured that wasn't the best place to use it. The other two times, the affected area was an arm, a little past the elbow, so I figured they'd stay on at least a little longer there. Unfortunately, they didn't. In all three cases, clothing may have rubbed against the pads, causing them to fall off. If they fall off that easily, though, I have a feeling that other people are going to have issues keeping them on. My guess is that they may stay on okay if you have them on a place that's not going to rub against anything or bump against anything. They might be fine for some uses, but blisters and chafing are listed as reasons to use these. In both cases, you are probably trying to protect the area from more irritation, and you are likely to experience some rubbing against the pad. These probably won't stay on long in either case. The directions do say that you can hold them in place with tape, but if I have to use tape anyway, I might as well use a product that's going to stay in place on its own. Updated April 3, 2023: I have continued to try these in a variety of places. Ultimately, they do stay in place best on a flat body surface where you don't have a lot of muscle movement. The back seems to be the best place. Even on the arms and legs, you have a lot of muscles that make the patch come loose easily.

Bug bites are something I can never seem to avoid when summer comes around. For whatever reason, those little buggers just love targeting me, so each and every year I have at least a few bites that I try not (and often fail) to scratch. This seemed like a nice option to this. I haven't had any bug bites so far, but I have found that they're good for a nice variety of things, such as chafing. It's also good for super dry skin, if you suffer from that, which I also do. First things first, these pads are not invisible exactly. You can tell that they're on, so make sure that you plan out a wardrobe if you're going to use them on a limb or other visible part of your body. The clothing can help you forget that you have it on, if you're someone that tends to fidget with items you stick on your body. They're kind of similar to a clear adhesive strip on a band-aid, if that helps any. If you choose not to cover them, they're visible but not so much that it would overwhelm an outfit or constantly attract attention. As far as effective-ness goes, these are nice. They are cooling and while that doesn't last for days or anything, it's good for the short term. My thought process with this is that the cooling helps reduce the irritation so you don't scratch, so by the time it wears off you shouldn't really need the cooling sensation that much anymore. Its true test will be bug bite season, but even if it only helps somewhat that will still be a huge help and relief.

These work very well. The pads adhere well without using adhesive, the gel just grabs on, but maybe not so well to joints like elbows. They are very cooling and moisturize. Removing them doesn't leave my skin feeling slimy, just somewhat hydrated with no residue. I got these for occasional burns as well as patchy red and dry skin I get from eczema on occasion. The pads are kind of a flexible gel that are pretty interesting and different from most products I've tried. I think they will work well for both purposes. These don't have a lot of ingredients at all. My ingredient checker was slightly confused about a couple of ingredients, but I checked some other places that talked about them and they seem to be just fine for most folks with sensitive skin. I kept a couple on for several hours on different places and had no irritation with my patch test. These are very cooling and soothing, I would recommend them.

What can be better than aloe for hydrating and cooling!... I was eager to try these pads, so - for lack of burns on bug bites on my skin at the moment - I placed it on my hand where the skin was very, very dry and chaffed, and I felt immediate relief. So easy to use - just peel the plastic from the individual pad and place it on the affected area. It does stay on without sliding off (which was a pleasant surprise) , just as described, but at the same time, when you take it off, it's easily removed, just by lifting it off, no sticking. The effect is pleasant, moisturizing, and soothing. As I type, it is still on my hand, and it doesn't dry out at all, stays moist for quite a long time. I removed it a few times and put it back, and there is no sticky residue, just the feeling of softer skin. And it's an added bonus that the gel is Paraben-free. A great addition to my skin care remedies!

These hydrogel pads are amazing. I'm keeping this jar in my kitchen, because I burn myself more often than I'd like to admit. They are super cool to the touch, and stay feeling moist and cool long after it's applied. They can easily be trimmed with scissors to fit smaller areas. They stick well to your skin, but peel off very easily, pain free, when ready to remove. My only concern is the possibility of them drying out once opened. The tub is safety sealed, keeping the container air tight until it's opened. As the pads are not individually wrapped inside the tub, I think over time the gel may dry out. The label does say to keep the lid tightly closed to prevent drying. The lid does seem to have a tight fit. Only time will tell.

I was surprised by how well these adhered to the contours of my skin. I have been using these patches on my ankle to soothe and protect a very itchy eczema patch. The pads are pretty large - about 4" long/wide and somehow the gel keeps them attached to your skin without the need for adhesive, even when not applied to a flat area. They're pretty transparent in color so it's not very obvious that you have a patch on. The cooling effect is only for the first couple of minutes, but I keep them on all day anyway because they seem to keep the itchiness at bay, are a physical barrier to let my skin heal and keep me from touching the area. They're also really comfortable, to the point that you forget you have the patch on.

Unfortunately, I had a mishap while cooking and placed my hand on a hot pot handle and ran to my medicine cabinet for some aloe Vera gel. I remembered that I had these on hand and decided to try: And boy did they work: Initially, I for sure thought that I would have a 1st degree burn, based on how my skin felt and looked, but since I was able to quickly place one of these cooling pads on: No blisters formed. It also, calmed the redness and a day later: I only see the redness and do not feel any discomfort (outside of when I wash my hands in hot water). I am glad I had ordered these, as they definitely worked. They were very convenient and stayed out on the palm of my hand. Definitely worth the cost.

These are soothing and non-irritating. They feel nice and cooling on the skin and I have never experienced any stinging/burning. They will not stay in place on their own - if you need them to, you are going to need some kind of wrap or tape to keep them from moving (unless you are using them somewhere like the inside of a bra, or anywhere else where you'll have the support of clothing or something else holding it in place). It does not leave behind any sticky residue, and they are painless to remove due to the fact that they are non-adhesive. The only thing that I would say about this product is that the price point does appear to be rather high, as these are single-use.

Happy Gal. Mostly.

I really like that these can be used for a variety of skin issues - from burns to bug bites. I used one on an arm burn from my oven (ya, I'm clumsy) and it brought almost instant relief. Very cooling and soothing. Calmed that intense, nagging pain and these are so easy to use. Just stick and it stays in place. They're also easy to remove. The container lid stays on securely, so I'm not worried about these drying out over time. My favorite part is that unlike aloe, I don't have to keep reapplying once the burning sensation flares up again. These patches keep the pain at bay with just one use.

This is a good way to provide a specific area of your body with a concentrated layer of soothing care. These are round patches that are coated with aloe and other safe ingredients. Feels cool and soothing when first applied to skin. Each patch is 3" in diameter. They stick by themselves without the aide of any sort of adhesive. Really helps dry, chapped and damaged skin. Had it eliminate some itching just by one use. Contains purified water, polyethylene oxide, sharomix EG 14, and aloe vera. There is no scent to this at all and should be safe, from baby to grandpa. Made in the USA.

Having just received this jar of hydrogel pads I had the perfect situation to use them on. Anytime I must wear a proper bra I am totally uncomfortable and in florida heat the under cup area can actually rub top layer of skin off and always leaves irritation. I decided to use hydrogel pads on the area, it was such a relief. The coolness was heavenly and the pads stayed adhered, even when I removed them several hours later I felt they still had some use in them. We all know how well aloe heals and this product also seams to hydrate the skin tissue. A great product.

I like the way that once you place it on your skin it stays fairly well. (Note it does not stay well on places with high movement or that bend, such as hand or elbow- at least not for me.) It does create a nice barrier that makes me a little more mindful and discourages me from wanting to scratch or pick at it. I can't say that my hand feels particularly smooth or soft from this, but it does feel more 'refreshed'. I have to say it does irritate my skin a bit. Overall I like it. The product is made in the USA, which is a major plus to me.

So, I’m pretty sure this isn’t in the description at all, but nursing moms, I got some at a hospital years ago, and tried other products for sore nipples over the years, but they just don’t do as much, and are as expensive as could possibly be. Anyway, these work, and will last me a long time. My daughter had a horrible latch while teething and made me bleed. It was excruciating! I finally found these and got them. I used two. Two before it started healing! I’m impressed, and my nipples are happier again! 10/10 recommend!

I really like these pads! I teach dance so I often get blisters on my feet, and these are a lifesaver! They're actually really versatile - in addition to blisters/callouses, you could use these on bug bites, sunburn, and more. This package comes with 48 fairly large circles (3 inches). You simply remove the blue film backing and gently press the circle on the affected area. The aloe is cooling and soothing. It stays in place fairly well on its own, but I would recommend securing it if placed in an area with a lot of movement.

I had waited to find a reason to use this and my daughter had itchy arm so I finally opened it and used it on her. It feels like jelly and it felt cooling right away. The jelly feels soft and feels good against the skin but I’m afraid the coolness doesn’t last very long. For itchy skin of a child, it wasn’t easy to keep it on for too long but I think this would work much better on burns and will give relief.
