Bug bites are something I can never seem to avoid when summer comes around. For whatever reason, those little buggers just love targeting me, so each and every year I have at least a few bites that I try not (and often fail) to scratch. This seemed like a nice option to this. I haven't had any bug bites so far, but I have found that they're good for a nice variety of things, such as chafing. It's also good for super dry skin, if you suffer from that, which I also do.
First things first, these pads are not invisible exactly. You can tell that they're on, so make sure that you plan out a wardrobe if you're going to use them on a limb or other visible part of your body. The clothing can help you forget that you have it on, if you're someone that tends to fidget with items you stick on your body. They're kind of similar to a clear adhesive strip on a band-aid, if that helps any. If you choose not to cover them, they're visible but not so much that it would overwhelm an outfit or constantly attract attention.
As far as effective-ness goes, these are nice. They are cooling and while that doesn't last for days or anything, it's good for the short term. My thought process with this is that the cooling helps reduce the irritation so you don't scratch, so by the time it wears off you shouldn't really need the cooling sensation that much anymore. Its true test will be bug bite season, but even if it only helps somewhat that will still be a huge help and relief.
