I’ve long been a fan of hydrogel for healing since it first came out. I’ve used many brands and types over the decades both professionally and personally. When I saw Medagel Circles Plus Aloe Hydrogel Pads, I thought I’d give them a try. What I Liked: * They feel nice and cool when applied, which is comforting. They don’t contain any type of cooling agent, so it will warm up to your body temperature, but the hydrogel is still soothing. * The protective covering peels off easily. This is no small thing as some of the brands I’ve used in the past are very difficult to get the backing off. * They contain aloe which is just so good for skin care. * They are a generous size. * You can cut these to size easily and you may well need to do this because they are a generous size to begin with. Just be sure to cut them before you remove the protective covering. * They are made in the US. What I Didn’t Like: * They are non adhesive, so in most cases you're going to need to hold them in place with some other type of bandage or wrapping. This may or may not work out. The first time I used them was for a minor finger injury. I cut off a small piece and then wrapped it with a small piece of self-adhering elastic wrap. It didn’t work out. The hydrogel kept sliding off the injured area. I ended up using a band aid. * These are not sterile! It is important to keep that in mind when using these over open areas or wounds. I’m not planning on using them on any wounds unless they are minor and I’ll be putting on antibiotic ointment first. * While there is a lot number on the label, I didn’t see any expiration date. These have their place in the medicine cabinet, but aren’t going to be as versatile as I had hoped. I’ll be using them for minor skin irritations and times when I want some cushioning. I thought they were a bit high on the price, especially for a hydrogel that isn’t self adhesive. They do work, you just have to do some extra work to maximize their use.

These patches are awesome. They have a very good and lasting cooling effect. They stick just enough to stay in place but are not sticky enough to leave any residue behind. I have been having some trouble with hives lately, and these patches help a lot. They even help with the itchiness.

These gel-like pads provide instant skin relief and cooling treatment for breastfeeding, mosquito and bug bites, minor burns, hotspots, blisters on feet and callouses. Hydrogel technology in each pad that cushions and relieves discomfort. Feel an immediate cooling sensation from these hydrogel pads when placed on skin. The Aloe Vera ensures that your skin stays moisturized and the 3-inch circular patches are great breast gel pads.

Without the circle my leg begins hurting quickly and gets very red and irritated in front

It’s like soaking, whatever you put it on, in water for a couple of hours. The dry patch then just rubs off.

First time mom here and the first days home with baby were great until the dreaded sore/painful nipples from nursing happened. I tried a few different things but this product was the biggest help. I would apply these between feedings, wipe area clean prior to nursing, and the soreness was greatly reduced.

I got a similar product from the hospital when my newborn damaged my nipples with a bad latch. These were lifesavers as we learned to nurse and even after. I still have some to use for other small abrasions.

My sister has what is called HS that causes boils in the sweat glands of underarms and other places. These really helped soothe and calm down the swelling.

If you're nursing and looking for nipple's relief - keep looking . This product does not calm or moisturize, but itchy

After I had my baby, he literally had me crying when nursing. My nipples were messed up and cringable. My lactation specialist recommended a similar product. These have been a god send! The constant moisture the gel provides aloud me to heal up, and get me to mild/painless nursing.

These pads will ease a bug bite, soothe a minor burn, and heal a small cut more quickly than using a normal bandage. I was able to keep it on my arm for at least two hours. If you're going to need this to stay in place longer than that, I recommend a self-adhering wrap.

I can see how this would be rather soothing for a burn or blister, as the initial application does feel cooling but shortly after the cooling effect seems to be gone but is replaced with body temperature moistness. There is a sense of soothing and protection that can move with the skin very naturally, which is helpful for cracking skin or an aggravated blister. I thought that this would stay cooling, but it didn't in my case. However, this did feel rather soothing and natural, and moved easily with my skin (on my leg). Since I don't have a burn or bug bite right now, I used this on my leg, and appreciated how this could be beneficial in trying to soothe cracked, irritated or mildly burned skin. The adhesive effect is mild, which is good, as it faces down on the wound area. Removal is very gentle and about as soft as a touch. This is a neat product and I'm glad for it. Thanks for reading.

Should be useful for bug bite season, and for hands roughed up by gardening.

Works great at reliving that bug bite sting. They do not stay in place without holding them or taping them down for very long. They do have quite the moisturizing effect on the area. Perfect for that abrasion or scrape. Very cooling.

These pads stick for about five minutes to soothe the initial pain of a bite or cut. Sometimes that is enough and sometimes not. They are handy to have in the medicine cabinet for those small emergencies.
