I bought these based on some reviews in hopes to help with breastfeeding relief. I’ve used Lansinoh soothies and Medela hydrogel pads. The Medela pads were by far my favorite and gave the most relief, but they were expensive for something you had to dispose of after 24 hours. I bought these hoping they’d be similar and with better value for money. My opinion is they were still too expensive, and they didn’t work nearly as well as the Medela gel pads. Almost zero relief, honestly. They didn’t stay cool, they didn’t adhere, and they were hard to open/peel. I tried them once and never again. I’m not breastfeeding anymore anyway, so I’m saving the rest for the future to maybe help with sunburns or something.

So, I bought these for my poor chaffed nipples due to breastfeeding. For that, these are TERRIBLE. They have a weird smell, which made me feel weird about having them on a place my baby puts his mouth, and made my nipples burn terribly! They also didn’t stick great inside my bra. BUT months later, I got a rough sunburn, remembered these pads and these finally came in handy! I also used them on a cooking burn. They are GREAT for relief in both of those situations. Terrible for breastfeeding nipples, but awesome for other skin burns.

Very chilling but dried too fast

I wanted to use these as a cheaper alternative to hydrogel pads for breastfeeding, but they caused unbearable itching on my skin. I don’t have that reaction to the Medela or Lansinoh hydrogel pads. I’m not sure which ingredient gave me the reaction, but just a warning for folks with sensitive skin.

This is a great product, and felt absolutely amazing when I first applied it to my chapped nipples after breast feeding. Unfortunately, after about 5 minutes, I had an intense need to itch, and when I removed them I had a red rash. I will absolutely qualify this review with the fact that I have super sensitive skin, so I don’t think this would be the norm.
