I saw the magic of this nut oil when I applied it 2x daily on a bedridden relative on the hip areas to prevent darkening and breakdown of the skin to prevent bedsores...the discoloration was new and superficial in the hip area..but in a short amount of time, the discoloration faded...I am sure that if it can target new and superficial discoloration, it can do so for older hyperpigmentation...it may take longer to fade depending on how old the discoloration is to get to the deeper layers of the skin, but consistency is key.
