I'm used to the fact that with my measurements, there's always something that doesn't quite fit right with bras/protective wear. So I was all the more surprised that I simply couldn't find any flaws with this top: it fit perfectly, 100%. Absolutely comfortable on the skin and in no way constricting. The first time I tried to fasten it, I had a bit of trouble with the closure, but the second time, it was no problem at all.

I was inbetween sizes 40/ML and 42/L, opted for the the smaller one as guided and it fits real nice! Feels just like wearing a sportsbra and it has zero effect on my range of motion. It makes me feel like i have a secret armor under my jersey.

I already tested Aava in few roller derby practices and my thoughts so far: - it fits truly to size (I am size S and it fits nicely) - material feels nice on the skin - it doesn't feel too bulky under the uniform - I feel protected on the ribs which is my weak spot In the future it would be nice to have a more summery version with air vents in the fabric on the front, in hot weather it might be too much fabric, but for colder months it's fine. Also, the delivery from Finland to Czechia was really quick once the bras were in stock. It was worth the wait ♥️

I was so excited to receive my amoured sports bra after having walked away sore from some roller derby sessions last year. I was impressed by how well it fit. I don't notice it at all when I'm playing and feel much more confident making contact. The one thing that I would note is that it takes quite a few days to dry, even in an Australian summer. This really means I need 2 bras as there's not enough time for it to be rinsed or washed between sessions.

The chest protection is a really comfortable fit and its perfect for the full contact sport. I have worn it to every session since recieving and its been a super comfortable fit over my sports bra. It has an internal elastic band that sits below your bust and stops the armoured bra from rolling up or moving about which is absolutely ideal and something i usually struggle with longline sports bras and tops. The bra closure at the back is also so good as it means you dont need to struggle getting it on or off, especially after a super sweaty session! Definitely recommend for anyone interested in that extra bit of protection for any full contact sport!

The "factory settings" on the top were a bit funky on me, but adjusting the straps helped with getting rid of random air pockets formed around the mid front part of the top. The sizing feels more accurate than old Steaks gear and I feel more confident in choosing the sizing.

As an avid STEAKS user for roller derby, I was really excited to support the AAVA campaign and get my hands on a new top that would protect me even better. Overall I am happy with the AAVA top - impact absorption is fantastic and the coverage is much better than the old STEAKS top (my ribs are so much happier now!). My only issue is that the top fits a bit weird on my body. I used the size guide and have tried various combinations of strap tightness, etc., but the top just does not sit right. Some parts are really tight where other parts are really loose, and I can't get the entire top to sit right on my torso. It's like the proportions are just slightly off. Two other people in my league have the same issue with their AAVA top. The lack of proper fit is a bit disappointing. Fortunately I still get adequate protection from it, but it is not as comfortable as I had hoped.
