My MGB Roadster (1967) has a bit of a habit of turn indicator failure. I am not sure if the traditional bimetallic strip in a can don’t like being laid up over winter, but it feels like I replace it every year. This year I thought I would go for a state-of-the-art solid-state version. The 2 pin Fully Electronic Flasher with beep (the self-cancel is a little reluctant so worth having the Beeb) appeared to be the answer. Having plugged in BB Classic’s electronic unit I am pleased to report the indicators run brighter and with a more regular beat. The Beeb is quite loud and not the nicest tone but a wrap of the flasher unit with some insulating tape has quietened it down and the beep tone is not offensive. Provided it still works next year (and no reason why not as there are no moving parts) it represents great value for money.
