This is my first (and will not be the last) Double Flute in the Spirit Flutes series. It is everything I wanted to upgrade my flutin' experience. Not only is it beautiful, portable and easy to play but also the voices of both flutes ( the melody and the drone ) are so well-balanced that we can really trust to play them together and the drone will not squeak, it is solid throughout the range of the melody flute. It is a dream come true. Thank you Odell and the High Spirits Flutes team !

Let me start off by saying that I've NEVER played a wind instrument IN MY LIFE, not once. About a month before my purchase I heard my first drone in person, in the note of G, by High Spirits. It was a pocket drone. I HAD to have one. After hemming and hawing, I decided to go modest and start my journey with this full sized A note drone compared to a typical F note. After about 2 weeks of practice, it felt so easy. The craftsmanship of the instrument, the smell of the cedar and the ease of learning on this beauty was worth every penny. I still practice and am getting better by the week. I like to play in the mornings after my meditation sessions and Ive had numerous random guests (we live at an rv resort currently) tell me how beautiful and lovely the flute sound is. Im still very much a beginner, but Im flattered that people have such a positive reaction to it and I know for a fact, its the double barrel drone note being played in conjunction with the melody side. Its got a stunning sound and I absolutely love it!!

Just received this flute a few hours ago. Already am in love. This is my first high spirit flute, and it’s quite incredible. A little tricky to play, and takes some getting used to, but once you get comfortable it just sounds amazing. A lot of diversity in playing as well, I found it fun to go back and forth between playing the melody side and drone side, creating a harmonious call and response. It’s lightweight and feels well made, and I plan to make a leather sheath for it to keep it protected outdoors, since cedar is pretty soft. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the sound, but don’t get discouraged if you don’t get it right away, even if you have flute experience. The double nature takes some getting used to. I look forward to ordering my next high spirits flute when I get the cash. I’m looking at the Red Tail Hawk in G. Cheers.

Wow ! Just got my Nova Double Flute in the Key of A and I could not be any more Happier ! I always wanted this style of Flute and I'm glad I have one now . It looks great , sounds great and I love the size . This is my 9th High Spirt Flute and as always Odell this is one to be proud of .

This is my first double flute, and I almost bought the F# as well, except it wasn't in stock at the time. Just as well, since, as you've mentioned in the video, it does take quite a bit more air. Since I'm havng to really get used to the airflow in the smaller A, I think I will wait to see if I can handle it before getting the F#. Super beautiful sound, and I'm finding these Spirit flutes much easier to play in general. I'll have to test them side-by-side with similar traditional flutes to see if there is any marked difference in sound.

Just opened my first double and after playing a few "learning" notes, I know I love it. Beautiful tone and love the finish.🎶
