I've had my KESTREL 'HIGH D' SIGNATURE FLUTE - AROMATIC CEDAR flute for about 4 weeks now. I love it!! So much fun to play. This is my first NA flute. I have played many instruments throughout my life and have a music degree. Around the first of the year I started looking into NA flutes because I had fallen in love with the sound and the songs. I did lots of research and decided High Spirits was the company I would purchase from...then I had to determine what flute! I decided to splurge and go with a Signature because I was pretty sure I would love playing it. I was correct. This flute is so much fun to play and having the 6 holes you can play in 2 keys -- D minor and C major (pentatonic). It is very responsive, clear sound, great tone and pitch. I wanted to get a flute that I could potentially play with others, especially at drum circles and also one that was small enough to take with me hiking. The flute is beautiful and I can't wait to start taking it out in nature and to drum circles.
