I started with this flute and I must say Mr. Borg is spot on that this flute can be played relatively quickly by a newcomer. I have never picked up a Native American flute but always loved hearing them played. I decided one day, I am going to buy one and try. I read and watched I think almost every video that Mr. Borg posted with his flutes to decide what would be a best beginner. I opted for he Bb key and have enjoyed it so much. Great looking and very well made to boot from what I can see. I look forward to many years of play as well as maybe adding more flutes as I get much better and branch out.

This flute has become one of my favorites to play. It reminds me of riding a young horseyou can do fun things if you keep control.

This flute has a nice appearance and not much air is required to play it. You can easily achieve four half steps above the octave. However, I would not recommend it for a beginner. I have 17 flutes. This flute required more practice and breath control than most to keep the low notes from jumping around. Once the flute and I understood each othera very emotive voice was achieved.
