Today I recieved my Condor bass flute in D minor. A joy to play! My first was 30 years ago. the coyote in G from what I was told. Last several months I've purchased the contra A conservation, mid A and pocket A spirit flutes, and F# crow. I just play from the heart, and playing these brings me peace when things are difficult.

I absolutely love my new High Spirits Condor D Bass Flute! I own several flutes from various other flute-makers and this is my absolute favorite. It is very beautiful and the tone is peaceful, melodic, and warm. I love playing it and literally cannot put it down. I play it for my dogs as they fall asleep at night and they love it. I was initially hesitant to purchase it as I am a woman with smallish hands, but I have no trouble playing it and can easily cover all of the holes. Customer service is great as the flute shipped the day that I ordered it and it was in my hands within 4 days. Thank you Odell Borg and company for this beautiful flute. It is a Masterpiece!

Absolutely love the warm, deep tones of this flute. It's not at all difficult to play which was a concern because I have a Low E flute (from another manufacturer) and it is very difficult to accurately close the tone holes for the lower notes. The High Spirits Condor Bass D is both a beautiful looking and sounding instrument that brings me such peace and joy each time I play it.

I just received my Condor D flute. I also own a couple of other High Spirit Flutes including the Condor E flute. They are all amazing but I have to say the Condor D flute is my favourite. For those that may be worried the size of the flute and the hole size are not an issue. My hands are average size. I find it easier to play the Condor D than the Condor E even if the Condor D is longer than the Condor E. I also find the sound much deeper and more resonant. I would highly recommend the Condor D.

I recently purchased my Condor D flute. There was a minor issue with the flute and It was such a no hassle exchange. They quickly resent the flute and I just cant stop playing it. It has such a beautiful voice. It is a large flute and I t have relatively small hands but I still find it easy to play. Highly recommend. High Spirt Flutes

Wonderful flute. Agree with all other comments. I have medium size hands for a middle aged guy and it took some getting used to before I could reliably cover all the holes but I can now do it without problems. Learn the piper's grip! Very calming for people and animals. I bring it out to the horse stable where my wife boards her horse and play it for the horses. Most of the horses come up and nuzzle the flute. They obviously like it!

This is a wonderful flute. There are two things I really wanted to communicate about it--sort of an elimination of fears I had before purchasing it (only so much you can tell from a video, and I didn't have a chance to actually play one or hear one live). First, I was afraid that to reach the deep bass notes, the flute would have to sacrifice the high end. I really like to be able to easily get to the high E and I assumed that wouldn't work. I was very wrong. The sound is solid and full from the low D up to the high E. It really can play all the notes of a lead instrument, it's just that the lowness of it and breath required does lend itself to slower compositions. I also wanted to say that this is a really good instrument to use for music therapy when you are sitting close to someone in physical or mental distress. Higher flutes are indeed beautiful to listen to, but even when played well, can be a bit intense to use if you're perched close beside someone who is in pain--or even in a convalescent situation. This flute comes in like a benevolent cloud of sound--warm, and gently healing. This was one of my main hopes/intentions in getting it, and it really has performed even better than I imagined on both counts mentioned here. Feeling grateful.

This Spanish Cedar Condor Bass Flute in D is a beautiful instrument in both look and sound. So happy I got it. I’ve had it for several weeks now, and can’t stop picking it up. Plays great and love the warm tones and deep resonance--has a wonderful healing effect. I look forward to many years of exploring more sounds. Thanks to Odell Borg & High Spirits for the many helpful online videos which led me to this bass flute. As a drummer of more than twenty years, I found the sound examples and information on keys and tones extremely helpful. I’m certain more flutes will follow!

The Condor D Bass in Spanish cedar is perfectly tuned, with a deep, mellow and haunting voice, and is easy to play. There is something special about the bass flutes - their voices resonate deeply inside both the player and the listener, elevating both into transcendent states which involve the entire body.

This is my second flute and i must admit I haven't played a lot with the first one, a Sparrow Hawk. Both instruments are beautiful and perfectly tuned but the Condor Bass is particularly a fantastic instrument. I love the low tone that resonates so good and the feel and smell of the wood that puts a spell on you. I obtained this flute in 2013 and have been able to play very meditative & smooth songs since then. Although it took some getting used to, in regards of the hole size(s), this was my starting flute and I highly recommend it if you'd like a flute with such versatility and voice. Harmonizes very well with the "High D Birch."

I was gifted a High Spirits NA flute in 2012 from an elder who told me the music was waiting in my soul. I had never played any wind instruments before but it was love right from the beginning. It felt so natural playing from the heart and I felt a shift in my core.It is now 16 months later and my collection of flutes has grown with most of them being High Spirits flutes.
