Fun little flute to play and easy to learn on. This is my first flute and love it, I love it so much I am looking to get a second flute from High Spirits so I can play in different tones.

I have so many nice flutes…but age and damage have left me incapable of playing some. Unwilling to surrender without a struggle, I purchased the Pocket Flute in hopes that its small size would allow me to continue playing. I admit that I feared that this flute could be too small for properly spacing my fingers. Not to worry, though, I have been playing the High Spirits Pocket G continuously for a week. I have adjusted my ear to better appreciate the high pitch, which did take some time, and I am quite happy. Now thinking of adding a Kestrel, while passing on some of my beloved flutes that I can no longer finger properly to others. Not really my original plan, but if smaller flutes are all that I can manage, it is good to have quality instruments from which to choose. Thanks, HS.

This is my second High Spirits flute and I’m so glad I chose the pocket size. It is fun to play and it has a bright, sweet sound. I love the quality of these instruments and the joy they bring to my life is priceless.

I was worried that a small flute may be shrill and annoying in my amateur hands, but not this one. It has a sweet voice all up and down the scale. I crocheted a case for it with recycled silk and popped it in my bag. My fourth High Spirits flute, it won’t be my last.

I love this flute. It has great sound and easy to take anywhere. It is just as beautiful as its sound.

When I was younger, I played a number of different instruments. The recorder as a young kid, then violin, then sax, then a little guitar and bass, etc. But it's been over a decade since I've effectively played anything. Now, in the ripe old age of 30-something, I'm not really looking for many challenges when trying to pick up a new instruments. I just want to pick something up and make quality sounds and halfway decent music as a beginner, without hurting myself or getting too discouraged. But it's not easy getting back into music, when everything seems to require high levels of finger dexterity and toughness, or impeccable embouchure and breath control, that I just don't have anymore. That said, this pocket flute is exactly what I was looking for. Even easier than the recorder, which is easy to overblow if you're not careful. And the sound is beautiful, even without any special embouchure. I'm really excited that I can start exploring music right away with this instrument, and not have to spend the first few months doing rudimentary practice before getting "real" musical notes to come out of it. The bonus for me is that my wife and I have a daughter on the way, our first child. I have plenty of time to learn some sweet tunes for bed time, and I'll get to be her instructor for this when she wants to learn to play one day. I'm very happy with this purchase and I will be back for more.

My new G Pocket flute arrived on a 33 degree day. I knew that I should let it warm up before I played it but grant me patience, right now! (It watered out in three songs). It’s voice is high without being squeaky (try El Condor Pasa). The finish is flawless. The finger holes are easy to seal. The bird fetish brings peace. It went into an inside jacket pocket and rode along on a service call which led to a 60 second concert and a fun discussion about NAF.

This pocket flute in the key of G is my first flute ever! (I'm 70 yrs. old!) Received it the Friday before Christmas and haven't been able to put it down. I love it so much. It has a lovely voice and the workmanship is exquisite. I've gotten many compliments on it. Thank you for making it so easy to learn and play. All the tutorials and newsletters are valuable as well. The reviews were encouraging...I took the plunge and am definitely not sorry! I'm very excited about this new adventure in my life and looking forward to purchasing a standard size flute in the near future.

I received the HS Pocket Flute in the key of G recently and love it. The cedar flute looks and smells wonderful, has clean and clear notes throughout the scale, and easily played even for my medium large hands. You do need to be a little more mindful on finger position, as there is not much room between the holes, but shouldn't be a problem for most unless they have huge sausage fingers, heh. I needed a high pitched flute like this for playing in trios, etc, and it fit the bill perfectly. I would definitely buy again for a gift or for myself, so go ahead and get it - you won't be sorry!

Amazing little flute! It arrived lightning fast too. I love everything about it, the sound is clear, the size is wonderful for taking anywhere and it is so beautifully crafted. I now have a companion flute for my Red Tail Hawk :) I will definitely perchase for High Spirits again.

I bought this little flute about two years ago after the store owner in Patagonia let me try it in front of some customers and it was an instant hit. I've played it in front of farm animals as well who seem quite intrigued by the bird-like sound of this amazing tiny instrument. Earlier this year, while RVing in North Texas, I had an unplanned concert for some fainting goats who were totally transfixed by my music! My RV friends were also impressed by the sound of this "little stick" that makes such good music. This is my 3rd HS flute and I enjoy all of them for their voices but also for the high quality of the workmanship. Thanks, Odell!

This is the third flute that I've purchased, and it has become my favorite. It set atop my desk, and I grab it whenever I'm downloading or processing a large file or just need a break. Unfortunately I am limited to playing it as a 5 hole flute due to my ring finger having been broken as a youth. I can still make good music, but the selection of music is somewhat limited. However, I have as much fun just winging it.

I purchased this pocket flute in walnut back in the summer of 2016. This was my first flute from High Spirits. I didn't really know what to expect, after all it was an inexpensive pocket flute. Upon opening the package, I was pleased with the beautiful gain and the finish on the walnut. This little flute is so easy to play and the tuning is spot on! So impressed was I, that I purchased one of these for my son so we could play together. I take this little flute with me frequently as it's so easy to carry. I now own six other High Spirits Flutes. The craftsmanship is outstanding from this company.

The pocket flute is terrific! Strange to handle at first if you are used to playing the standard size flute. But, I immediately got comfortable with the flute and bonded with it. As a smaller flute, it has a higher pitch than the standard size flute. The tones are clear and the response is incredible. The craftsmanship is second to none. No flaws whatsoever. I couldn't put the darn thing down! Very fun to play. I highly recommend the pocket flute to add to your growing collection of wonderful flutes from the good people at High Spirits Flutes!
