My 94 year old mother with early signs of dementia recently moved into a retirement community. The community provided her with cable TV, but the remote control was insane. Every time she tried to watch cable she got lost in all the buttons. Her frustration was obvious and it effected her mood too.
At my wits end, I asked ChatGPT if there was such a thing as a simple remote for the elderly. The first suggestion was the Flipper! Whoever designed this remote is doing God's work. It's brilliant, simple and works like a charm.
With the Flipper all Mom has to do is press the green button to turn it on, and press the blue button to scroll through the cable channels. Voila! She's got entertainment!
I did get stumped trying to program Flipper, but called the support number that came with it. Dan, with Flipper support, answered right away, and talked me through the setup. It took about 5 minutes. Easy peasy.
