Poles arrived promptly. Used them last trip to Arizona and they were great. Length adjustments were easy and held tight. Really liked the cork handles.

Just hiked/backpacked Eagle Rock Loop in Arkansas. Thirty miles in two days, six ascents, tallest being 800’. Multiple river crossings, various terrain, etc. These poles exceeded my expectations!

Very sturdy and locks in place after you get the screws adjusted to the right tightness. Easy on the fly adjusting clips and easy to see the markings for the position you want the sticks. Cork handle is comfortable and highly reduces sweat. I like them better than my black diamonds. Time and usage will be the tell tale of long term durability.

I haven't used them yet except around the house. Just super glad l got them in a timely manner. I had used another hiker’s poles and had to buy these. Made a world of difference.

Great quality, super sturdy, already used them and they kept me from falling multiple times on steep mountain side hiking. Love that the locking clasps are metal and not plastic!

These polls are very well made, sturdy, easily adjusted for anyone's size, are comfortable to use, and make hiking a lot easier and safer. You can spend more, but why? Imo, these are all you need, and you won't be disappointed.

HAVING YOUR POLES WITH YOU, IS A PRIORITY AND THESE MAKE IT EASY Bad knees and hiking mean, you look like a 4-legged animal going up and especially down a mountain path. Also if your balance is not great, these work for that stream crossover that’s a bit tricky. Having had poles that adjusted in the past, I found they could be tricky and you didn’t want to adjust them often. The adjustment range would be degraded. These have the same type of adjustment that the camera tripods have and is easy to change and solid. There is also a means of easily tightening the clasp in case it slips. I store these in my car for the random hike. I had tried to do that with my other poles, that don’t adjust easily, or the one that does not adjust at all and it was like travelling with a spear. Never found a good spot, so they ended up out of the car and were never around when I needed them. When you have an SUV (like a lot of hikers do), trunk space is limited. I was always worried we would toss something in the back and bend one of my poles. ABOUT THESE POLES You get: **** 2 adjustable poles **** Sand traps, threaded on **** Snow traps, threaded on **** Rubber tips, pressed on **** Pointed ends (part of the pole) **** Nylon straps (adjustable) **** Clips to hold poles together for storage (2) GRIPS They have molded cork grips with nylon strap adjustments. Having already been spoiled by this type of grip, it is nice and holds well for sweaty hands. Let’s face it hike = sweat. And once you have dropped a pole down an incline, you learn how to rely on the straps. BOTTOMS You have some choices: Pointy end or rubber caps Sand or snow trap You can combine them as you see fit. I tend to go with rubber ends and sand traps. My only concern with the rubber ends, is pulling them off and losing them. Wish they were threaded on. I can recall on some hikes in the Adirondacks where the tip of my poles would get wedged between rocks going downhill. These would just pull off. ADJUSTMENT You have two levels and markings on both, so you can repeat them. This comes in handy if you shorten up the poles for storage like I do or if more than one person uses them. The adjustments are like a tripod clasp with a large nut knurled for tightening. I’ve learned, you tighten the knurled nut when the clasp is open for best tightness. You then test your weight on it, before you depend on it. If you put both adjustments to the 39”/100cm mark, the top of your grip is at 39”/100cm. And similar for the other measurements SUMMARY These are nice solid easily adjusted poles. I heard other reviewers complain about weight. As I am not a through packer or even backpacker, they are fine for my purposes for day hikes. The only complaint I have is: I wish I had a bag to store them, so I can be sure not to lose pieces. Also I wish the rubber tips were threaded on, as I’m certain to lose one. I even had one come off in the car.

If you're seriously into hiking or backpacking, you will appreciate these hiking poles which are, in my opinion, top of the line. They are collapsible for easy carrying and easily adjustable so you can get them the perfect height for you. The cork handles work so well to keep the poles from slipping even in 90+ degree heat in the south. The lightweight material that they are made of keeps the poles light but they still feel sturdy even when you're putting a lot of weight on them. There are three different options for the bottom of the poles so you can change them out based on the terrain where you will be hiking. Hiking with poles has really made a difference for me as I've gotten older especially on uneven trails. These are the best poles we've tried.

These are really nice poles. They are light, so adding them to your pack isn't very much weight for you. They can easily be clipped to the outside of your pack. They are also very adjustable. They hold really well and can be adjusted for a completely perfect fit.
