This was a well-written sweet tale that charmingly alluded to Gothic romance elements without claiming that genre for it's own. I truly appreciated the self-discovery and internal-strength of our primary characters. I definitely forsee rereading this story in future! This story stands on its own exceedingly well, but I can also see how a few other stories might correlate or spin-off from the secondary or tertiary characters. I should admit that I believe I have not read any of the others from this series, but the description for this one had caught my interest. Thank you, Miss Sally, for sharing this with the rest of us!

I love this story. I especially love the pacing of the book, it was perfect. Usually I’m chomping at the bit to have some thing happen or develop instead of being stuck and mired in an author’s attempt at angst. But not so with this book.Sally did an amazing job at developing the story and relationship naturally. The interactions between the characters was just as it ought to be and as it would be in real life when you’re attracted to a person. I never had that feeling of when are they going to get to “fill-in-the-blank”. I loved both the H and h and loved the aunt and GG Grandparents. It was a delight to read and I thoroughly recommend it.

This book was awesome. Louisa has to go live with a great aunt because her father has died and her mama had spent all their money. Her mother isn't very nice. She is in a small town and she is in a walk one day and meets Grey he has a house in the village and he is a baron. His great great grandfather and mother have been haunting him. He writes gothic books under a pen name also. His great grandfather wants him to find the treasure from centuries ago so Grey and Louisa try to figure out how to find it while they fall in love. Great love story clean book and I love that. Great characters. Recommend this book

Sally Britton is one of my favorite authors, and this story did not disappoint. I found the characters interesting. Ras, Louisa and her aunt Penrith were all so likeable, like people I would enjoy getting to know. Even the ghost were enjoyable. I loved it that Rass and Louisa were honest and upfront with each other and there was never really a moment of misunderstanding. Sure those moments can add to the tension in the story but every once in awhile it's nice to rag a story that's just joyful, with characters who are good, decent people without much angst. Yes the characters had there trials but they weathered them together and I liked that.

I was mesmerized while reading this regency romance. Set in a small country town away from the hustle and bustle of London, Ras and Louisa meet in a graveyard. Very apropos for this time of year during the Halloween season, especially when Louisa originally mistakes his shadow for the ghost of the tombstone that she is looking at. Ras, on the other hand, is visited by the ghosts believed to be his ancestral grandparents. From this setting Ms Britton weaves a wonderfully enchanting love story growing at a leisurely pace clean and sweet. I loved the characters as I grew to know them. I will be thinking of them for many a time to come.

A Haunting at Havenwood was an excellent read. The story was intriguing and well written. I highly recommend it. Every page pushed the story forward to its conclusion. I loved the romance and the way the characters got around the conventions of that day. The characters were great and felt well fleshed out. Erasmus was a recluse with a stammer. The ghosts were a fascinating couple--one prim and proper, the other an adorable outspoken Scotsman. Louisa was an intelligent rather humble Lady and her Aunt is a kindhearted soul who makes you feel like you’ve come home to fresh baked bread. All in all this is a fresh new romance that leaves you wanting more when you come to the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed Sally Britton's novel. The characters are believable and the plot enchanting but twisted enough to not be obvious. I'm a huge fan of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir so this wonderful Regency tale was a delightful ghost story as well. Enjoy!

This book was a perfect one to read over the Halloween weekend! It has ghosts, talk of gothic novels, and a treasure hunt, which made it especially fun for the end of October. When Louise first meets Ras, she wonders if he could be a ghost, and since he doesn’t want anyone to know he is in residence, he pretends to be a ghost for a short time. Their interactions were sweet and fun, and I really enjoyed reading about their relationship!I’m looking forward to reading the other novels in this series! I missed out on all of them last year, so I’m excited to read them now.
