Really enjoyed the lively historic political intrigue and, of course, the pasta making, a favorite pastime of one of my daughters. Fresh pasta is awesome.

I loved reading this sweet story! I enjoyed Emma’s character in the first book in this series, so I was very excited that this was her story.I thought it was unique that the hero of the story, Luca, was an Italian ambassador from the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. I don’t remember learning about that part of history before, which made this book stand out to me! And I loved that Luca and Emma began bonding over their mutual love of literature.I had seen many reviewers mention the pasta scene before I read this book, so I have to do the same because that scene was so good! 😍 Loved it!I’m really looking forward to reading the next book in the series, especially after seeing the main characters for the new book spar with their words in this book. 😂4.5/5 stars!

Sally Britton always does her research and thoroughly I might add. This picks up soon after Rupert and Alice's storyline from Book 1, but it's a stand alone so don't let that hinder you from reading it.Emma has been Josephine's companion since she was a child. Although a ward of the Duke and Duchess of Montfort, she never flaunts that tidbit. For all intense and purpose she has willingly become Josephine's gatekeeper. When the new Italian ambassador arrives, Emma acts as a barrier. Luca is quite determined to court Josephine during his stay. Over time, he realizes it is Emma he loves. I believe the feelings were surfacing as the two of them made pasta for dinner. It was quite romantic without trying. When Luca discovers someone in his own entourage was sabatoging his position it was a relief to get the culprit identified and sent off to jail. In the end, they do get together after miscommunication which often occurs subtly through the story. It was also nice to get the foundation started for book 3 with Sir Andrew and Lady Josephine.

Sally Britton is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I really enjoyed this clean Regency romance set at Clairvoir Castle again. I listened to the audiobook and thought that the narrator did an excellent job with the different accents needed in the story.Dandelions > Butterflies

I have read books one and two so far. I enjoy the writer's style of warmth and creating characters that are so caring, just how we wish the real world could be. I think most readers will enjoy meeting this family, smiling warmly as they become immersed in the story. This is a sweet story you can snuggle up to and read away the stress of your day. Oh, and I also enjoyed the author notes on what was fiction and what was based upon real places, etc.

Who doesn’t fantasize about a tall, dark and handsome guy coming in and sweeping them off their feet? Sally Britton brings the characters to life with her descriptions and every small detail she adds. The gorgeous ambassador needs to find an English wife... what he expected to find at the castle doesn’t hold a candle to what he truly finds there!I love my husband, but this book is now everything! ;) And I do believe I need a floor plan so I can build this castle in real life! Secret passageways, hidden rooms, and crazy good security? I don’t think anything else could fit my family so well!

I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet love story. Sally has a way of making you feel as if you are there with the characters. I enjoyed reading about Alice and Rupert and how they are doing. I love the Clairvoir Castle series and all of it's characters. Emma was a delight to get to know and Luca was such a kind and caring person. I enjoyed reading about their growing friendship and loved the pasta scene. I can't wait to read about Josie and Andrew next. I highly recommend this series!
