Cecilia is a lady who is very practical, lovely and intelligent. I loved her interest in architecture, and I loved his gentleness towards her. I loved the attraction between them and the fun witty banter.I really enjoyed watching their marriage of convenience grow to so much more. I have really enjoyed the Clairvoir Castle series by Sally Britton and was so excited to learn that she had written a prequel revealing the love story of the Duke and Duchess. Their example of love throughout the series has been so endearing, with hints as to their history but not quite enough for most of the readers of this series. Britton scored brownie points when she authored what we all wanted to know! This prequel perfectly rounded out all of the following stories. Jessica Elisa Boyd has been a joy to listen to and brings to life this entire series.This book is suitable for teens and older with no inappropriate intimate scenes and no bad language.

“What is it you want more than anything?” he asked, his voice soft and his eyes intent upon hers. “Tell me what it is, and I will do all in my power to grant it to you.”I recently read A Duchess for the Duke, which is a prequel novella to Sally Britton’s Clairvoir Castle romance series and I thought it was fun to see how the Duke and Duchess’s courtship played out since they are such an ideal couple in the other books in the series. What starts as a courtship to find a mutually beneficial companion grows to love and a sweet story. I’m glad I had the opportunity to read this cute book. It was a quick read, but a full story. This is a clean romance.

I finally got to read the prequel novella of the Clairvoir Castle series, and I am so happy. This book makes the rest of the books so much better. I am now going to enjoy re-reading the rest of the series. I do wish there was another novel detailing the Duke and Dutchess discovering the secret passageways, and plotting the gardens, and falling in love with each other all over again.

I love how practical these two start out, knowing how embarrassingly in love hey are further in the series. They are just feeling each other out here and surprised that they enjoy being together as they work toward similar goals.Their strengths and weaknesses complement each other well, and they trust each other enough to show their weaknesses.

Another enjoyable book from Sally Britton and a fitting prequel to the Clairvoir Castle Romances. The life of a duke is more than wealth and entertainment, and he needs a duchess to help him fulfill his duties. This is where it all began, and how Gregory Dinard, the Duke of Montfort, met and married lady Cecilia Boxbury.

I have read all four of the Castle Clairvoir novels. They are all well-written and in them the Duke is a fully realized and confident man. This prequel gives insights into his journey to maturity, self-assurance and strength, and shows the critical role his wife played in his life. They have a true partnership.

Filled with the universal needs for honor, respect and devoted love, A Duchess for the Duke charms and stirs within us envy for such a relationship. Ms. Britton delivers another delightful tale which invokes a sigh of contentment upon completion.

I have loved this series, and this prequel is just as enjoyable. The relationship between the Duke and his Duchess is as beautiful in the beginning at it is throughout the stories. It's a quick, satisfying read.

What a wonderful prequel. Now I just have to re-read the rest of the series. Thank you Sally Britton for another wonderful novella. You are such a talented writer.

A good read. Two people come together in an odd and chaotic way then find common ground. Ah the pangs of love!
