This is just a small calico bag. I visited the Lindner sock shop on a cold and windy winter's day in June. And bought some socks including a pair of Max Loose Tops. Very thick and cushioning and warm. They are much thicker and warmer than explorer socks. I have a pair of English country shoes from Barkers that are a size too large, which has been disappointing because they are excellent and expensive shoes. So I've worn them with inner soles and the laces tight with thick socks and on rare occasions because even with all this padding they still didn't fit. But wearing the Max's and without innersoles the the shoes fit like a glove and my feet are warm and snug. So when the radio tells me first thing in the morning that the temperature is minus 5 I know my feet won't be cold as I crunch over the frosty ground outside. And the little calico bag reflects the care and pride that is apparent in each pair of Lindner socks.
