Install the ACS4W40 on my Home AC unit. The Results were incredible. A 88% drop in inrush current. Very happy with the results. Active Controls Is Awesome. Thomas is the Best!

I ordered this as a replacement for my soft start kit from Active Controls since this is what tends to go out on the unit. The first one I received was damaged in shipping (may need to use a box to ship instead of bubble wrap envelope), but sent them pics and received a replacement quickly. Great customer service as always.

I have the 50 Amp soft start and it will run 2 of my AC's when I'm on a 30 amp service. Also I can run all 3 of my AC's when I connect my two generators in parallel. I tried to run them with just a power protector and it would throw a breaker on one of the generators. I'm using 2 Champion 4500 watt generators. This device will really help when I need to boon dock. I am constantly trying to let others know they don't have to install soft starts on their AC's anymore. I've been using the product for 6 months with no issues.

Works straight for the air conditioner on the houseboat. Single RV Air. When the AC cycles it seems much easier on the generator. Whenever I had a question, the guy always called back. Great customer service. I hope they find me a refurbished small unit for 120 V.

I was hesitent to purchase at first due to the cost, but factor in the cost of individual Softstarts for each AC, installation if not completed yourself, surge protector + ems, and in the end it essentially costs the same as the ActiveStart 50AMP. I tested both a Coleman Mach 15 and a Mach 3+ (13k btu version), one at a time while on a single 15amp 120v receptical and they both functioned perfectly. I have yet to try it on a 30amp with both running, but I don't doubt that they will. The app seems to function well, and being a techie, I enjoy seeing the voltages, amps, watts, etc change based on what is running. As a side project, I am also investigating using this with the 50amp hookup at my house since I run a manual lockout transfer switch for a generator. I have a new, high efficiency 4 ton heatpump I'd like to start on a 30amp hookup from the generator. To test this, I need to purchase a 30amp L14-30P Plug to 50 Amp 4-Prong 14-50R Adapter cord yet.
