I purchased this wool batting to make my own custom bed pillows. The wool helps to keep my head cool during the night, much better than down/feathers or synthetic fill which retains heat. I was surprised that the batting was packaged like a sausage shrunk wrap in plastic (not as pictured), but not to worry as it expanded and fluffed up very nicely once set free. One star was deducted since there were tiny pieces of grass in the batting and in one package (out of two) the batting was in three pieces, not a continuous piece. This did not matter for my purposes, but it might for others. My new pillow, along with the wool comforter and mattress pad, are helping me stay cool for a better night's sleep.
