Steviva Blend is a great product because it eliminates the bitter taste of using stevia alone, it has the consistency of sugar yet it has twice the sweetness, zero calories, and as far as all studies indicate, is completely safe. So what's not to love? Well the other part of the blend includes Erythritol. Erythritol, the other part of the sweetness, is not harmful. Erythritol belongs to a class of compounds called sugar alcohols (kind of a hybrid of a carbohydrate and an alcohol). Our bodies just don't break it down so it passes pretty much unchanged through our system and for some people this can cause a little intestinal rumbling. This can depend on how much you ingest in one sitting. I have found for myself personally that I need to limited my portion to a couple of teaspoons in my protein drink in the morning (remember, that's equivalent to the sweetness of four teaspoons of sugar). When I do I am fine, otherwise I find myself looking for the gas-x pills. This is a great product and I am a return customer. I recommend you test your own tolerance before diving in to sugar free bliss. Note: I have not tested this product for gas issues in cooking.

I bought this on a whim after someone I follow on Instagram said she liked it better than Swerve. I have been using Swerve in my baked goods it's 2014 because it's a great sweetener in the keto diet. But I have always been able to taste the cooling after every bite and it's not enjoyable....I can not say enough about this sweetener! I absolutely love it and I will continue to purchase it! I love that there is only 2 ingredients, it has no gmos and it's made in Portland Oregon so it's local to me! If you have ever used Swerve and noticed the cooling taste then this blend is for you!! Please give it a shot, I made incredible keto lemon custard bars with this sweetener and took them to a get together and NO ONE KNEW!!! Yay! I've had zero intestinal upset or issues. I will say that I added it to my hot coffee one day and only slightly noticed the stevia aftertaste but I think that stevia just tastes like that and I am sensitive to it. Anyway, great product! Definitely give it a shot for low carb/keto baking!

First thing's first...I HATE artificial sweeteners. In my opinion they all taste like chemicals but I can't live without morning coffee and I'd rather save calories on sugar and use them towards real food while I'm losing weight. That being said, Steviva is by far the best product I have tried and I have tried almost all of them (liquid, powder, crystal, "natural", chemical, leprechaun dust etc). It has a slight cooling effect on the tongue from the erythritol that after one or 2 uses I could no longer taste. I can't even tell (in a good way) that it is there when I put it in smoothies or yogurt. It is pricey but I probably only need 1/4 of what I would if I were using regular sugar so the bag lasts a long time. I turned my mother and sister (other self proclaimed artificial sweetener haters) onto it too and now they don't use anything else. We also occasionally go in on a big bag and split to help save cost. All in all I definitely recommend this product.

I love the Pyure brand of organic Stevia/Erythritol granular sweetener. I took a chance on this one, thinking the mix should be similar, and the price was pretty good. *Updated review. This sweetener didn't hit with me at first. It didn't seem as sweet as Pyure's similar product. But, it is starting to grow on me, and maybe I'm adjusting to it. It's a subtle flavor, which I wish it wasn't, as I feel as though I often have to use more of it than other sweeteners. But, it does have a good flavor, I think, and I'm starting to like it. To make a comparison directly, a product like Pyure Stevia/Erythritol blend hits with a delicious and very sweet slap in the face (in a great way). Steviva brand takes a more subtle path, and sneaks up with a tap on my shoulder and says "see, I'm sweet and good, right?" And yeah, once it gets in the right ratio, it's good. :-)

My husband went on a low carb diet and we tried many of the other replacement sweeteners out there. Artificial sweeteners are awful and straight stevia had an odd aftertaste. This is great! It has little to no aftertaste and is low carb. You do use less (about half) than you would regular sugar. The only caveat is that it does not dissolve all that well and, though I have only tried it in a couple of items, I'm not sold on it for baking. It is best in hotter drinks, (though I do use it in cocktails such as a mojito) or we use it frequently in things like dressings (coleslaw, quick pickling brines, etc) or to add to yogurt, sprinkle on berries, etc... We like it enough that we went for the big bag!

This is a fine white powder in an opaque bag with a resealable zip top. It's mostly the sugar alcohol erythritol (non-GMO) with a bit of stevia to bring up the sweetness level. It's about twice as sweet as sugar, and it tastes good enough you can eat it straight from the bag. There is a teensy hint of bitterness from the Stevia which is brought out when you mix it in bitter foods like coffee. 1 Tablespoon has 2.4 calories. It does not feed candida or raise blood sugar levels. Erythritol is actually good for teeth, and stevia contains antioxidants. Overall this is the best sweetener I have found in terms of taste, affordability, and nutrition. The Amazon price is no longer competitive.

I started using Steviva Blend because my blood glucose was elevated. My naturopathic dr suggested I eliminate sugar and grains from my diet... and NEVER use artificial sweeteners. I use this every day in my coffee with full fat half & half. At first it took some time to figure out how much to use, but it is a dream come true to me. It's all natural and has the same consistency as granulated sugar. The ingredients are erythritol and stevia. One tablespoon = 2.4 cal, 0 fat, 0 sodium, 0 carbs, 0 sugars. No more gagging on unsweetened coffee! (FYI: The photo shows the product as packets but is actually a bulk 1 lb bag.)

I could not give up sugar in my coffee. This works for me. This one is not nearly as sweet as Truvia, etc. (It's barely 1 to 1 with sugar for me, others may have a different sensitivity) Given that I have to use more the price advantage goes away so don't buy it for that reason. Buy it because... It has a very clean taste and aftertaste while others like Truvia has some sort of lingering flavoring they don't specify. I see people comparing this to NuStevia but that lists Maltodextrin before Stevia so it's sweeter but totally not what people are buying it for.

Wow! This is an amazing product. I am a Type I diabetic (22 years) who loves to cook and bake. I've been using another low carb natural sweetener, Whey Low, for years and it works almost identically to sugar with only 25% of the glucose raising effect of sugar. However, as a Type I who manages my blood sugar VERY closely, I needed something with even less impact on raising my blood sugar. Steviva does that while providing EXCELLENT taste. I do recommend that you substitute about 2/3 c. of Steviva per cup of granulated sugar. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

I have ordered the 5# bag before and was very happy with the product. I specifically chose this item because of the pour spout on the bag. This is my 3rd order of this product, and the bag has changed, it no longer has the pour spout. I will keep the product but will be looking for another seller to purchase from in the future as I really need the pour spout. See the old stevia on right with spout and new on the left without the spout.

I like that it's sweeter times 2, so you only have to use 1/2 of the amount of sugar. If recipe lists 3/4 cup sugar, use 1/2 of that amount or 6 Tbl Stevia Blend. Stevia and xylitol together don't seem to leave cold after taste or any bitterness. I also like to add some of the real thing like 1 or 2 Tbl of coconut palm sugar. Of course you would cut back on the Stevia Blend by that amount. Sugar substitution takes trials and tests.

I am still trying to get used to the taste of Steviva. I am hypoglycemic and find sugar causes my heart to fibrillate. It is very difficult to find recipes using the product. I am using trial and error. Too much and it is bitter, too little and the baked goods are nasty. Since I am not able to use honey or maple syrup either, it is a slow process. It seems to be a good product, I just do not like the aftertaste it gives.

Had trouble getting Stevia without maltodextrin. This blend has erythritol. Much better! It tastes sweet. Word of warning. I had been using a LOT of this sweetener, thinking nopthing of it. Suddenly I had diarrhea! Looked it up and discovered that more than 0.78 g/Kg body weight of erythritol may cause diarrhea. Sure enough I had taken close to 2 g/kg! So I learned my lesson, cut back and am fine.

I think Steviva is the best baking sugar alternative out there. Truvia is the one everyone knows, but that has sugar in it! This blend is just erythritol and stevia, and everything I have baked with it tastes awesome. You use 1/2 as much as you would in a normal sugar recipe, and i usually swap out regular flour for almond flour. I LOVE this blend and will continue to buy it!

I haven't tried baking with this yet, but for sweetening drinks and less-than-ripe fruit, it's very much like old fashioned sugar. Erythritol on its own isn't quite as sweet as sugar (not necessarily a bad thing), and stevia alone is often bitter. This is a good mix, combining greater sweetening power with a much cleaner taste bereft of the bitterness often found in stevia.
