I've been doing the low carb thing for years now... And occasionally I'll still get a hankerin' for bread. Unfortunately, most of the bread-like things that are acceptable on a low-carb diet aren't very tasty. I'm happy to say that's not the case with the Great Low Carb Bread Co.
This Plain bread tasts just like bread. It isn't some fluffy, white Wonder Bread... Visually - it looks more like one of the generic, brown, "wheat" breads you'll see on grocery store shelves. It's tan in color, and you can see bits of fiber in the bread. As far as the texture and taste go - it's more like the "artisan" bread you can get at most grocery stores. It's fairly crusty; and it's got a nice, chewy texture. And it tastes basically like plain/wheat bread. It doesn't taste especially nutty or grainy. It's got a nice, neutral, slightly-sweet taste.
It makes a great sandwich. It also behaves just like you'd expect bread to in the toaster or on the griddle... Makes perfectly good toast, grilled cheese sandwiches, and french toast. Honestly, if I didn't know better, I'd never guess it was low-carb.
You'll definitely want to freeze your bread as soon as it arrives - this stuff doesn't keep long when it's left at room temperature.

It's a little dated, and the store section is somewhat clunky to navigate... But they've got a wide selection of baked goods there: breads, bagels, buns, and rolls. And if you're buying larger quantities, it gets cheaper.
