I got a variety pack and the first one I tried was rotini. As others have suggested I cooked it for substantially longer than the package suggest. It was fine. Did it fool me into thinking it was regular pasta? Nope, not for a second. But i soaked up sauce nicely, it was good cold the next day. It was....fine. I don't think it's good enough to serve (even to myself) with a light, summery sauce like raw tomatoes, or olive oil and garlic, but for a heavy, gutsier sauce, or in a casserole, I think it's going to be swell.
But what I LOVE is the orzo. I miss pasta, but what I miss even more is rice. I cook a lot of Asian food, and much of it just begs to be eaten on a bed of rice. I have figured out some workarounds (NOT including cauliflower rice, which I really dislike), but none of them really did the trick. Enter the Lulupasta Orzo, and be still my heart! All I can tell you is, right now I am eating a bowl of shrimp fried "rice" and it's terrific. This stuff is my new best friend.
