This pasta cooked up just as easily as any regular wheat penne noodles. Boiled for a few minutes until perceived al dente, no issues other than a little foaming similar to what I've seen when boiling beans (which makes sense since Lupin flour is legume-based). The structure remained sturdy while I mixed it into my dish, no evidence of re-hardening once they'd been exposed to the air for a few minutes, or any softening mushiness after having marinated in the diced tomato and garlic dish for a few days. The taste is different than wheat pasta (obviously, to be expected), but I did not find it unpleasant. No offensive gritty or graininess like whole wheat or oat bran pasta, but not as blandly smooth as regular pasta. The best way I can describe the overall texture is chewiness with stickier compressibility more similar to mochi dough than the regular more rubbery springiness of regular wheat pasta. I really enjoyed this pasta and I would be happy to indulge in it from time to time in the future. My only regret is it that it is not more competitively affordable compared to regular pasta, though it IS competitive compared to other dried high protein penne.

Not sure why the negative reviews unless people are expecting regular wheat pasta. This is an excellent pasta choice if you are on a Keto or other low carb diet. Tastes far better than konjac/shirataki noodles... no need to wash away the fish taste with these. The consistency and bite of these noodles was similar to that of an al dente wheat noodle. Eaten with a marinara sauce or made as mac and cheese, I challenge anyone to tell the difference between these and wheat noodles. I can only guess that those that did not like either did not cook properly or were eating plain noodles with butter or olive oil which I have not tried with these or any Keto friendly noodle. That said, they are really expensive for what you get. You are simply paying for the convenience of not having to extrude the noodles yourself.

I've been eating Keto and have been missing my mac & cheese. But finally! I've found a pasta that isn't a waste of my cheese sauce. I used penne pasta. The flavor is mild. The penne held the sauce nicely. The texture was a bit different. Maybe grainy? I cooked the pasta for 10 minutes - longer than directed - then baked it in the sauce for 30 minutes. The bite was al dente. I appreciated that the serving size was accurate. Most pasta packages say 2 servings but it's really just 1. So my 8 oz package of pasta was truly 4 servings. I enjoyed my Keto Mac & Cheese with some store-bought rotisserie chicken. Delicious! For size comparison, my photo is my meal on an 8-inch diameter shallow bowl.

Pasta is my favorite food but recently started up Keto and had to look for alternatives. I can heat up some sauce and make Skinny Pasta (Konjac noodles) taste OK but it's not the same thing. This pasta has the closest texture to real pasta out of all the ones I have tried. There are some reviews on here about it tasting bland. I never eat it without a generous amount of sauce. My favorite is adding pesto sauce and mixing it well. It makes Keto entirely bearable. You aren't buying this pasta for the taste, you are buying it for the texture. and it is worth it. It is a sauce delivery system.

I make this whenever my low carb diet sends me into pasta cravings. It is very "nutty " in flavor and takes longer (much longer) than traditional pasta to come to a sauce ready state, but it is very filling and satisfies that pasta "need' IYKYK... I serve it with chicken, whatever vegetables I have on hand, and make an almond milk/low fat cheese sauce. It's expensive, but a 2/3 (dry serving) is more than enough for a very filling meal and a little left over for lunch. You can get 4 servings from the bag.

This is a good product if you are looking to add some pasta into a low net carb diet. The bag is small and says it is 4 servings, which seemed like very small servings at first but this pasta is surprisingly filling. Stick with the recommended serving amount and it’s enough to fill me up when added to some chicken and Italian cheese with butter or sauce. I would normally eat a double serving of regular pasta. Definitely satisfies the craving if you are missing pasta in your life!

After another lupin flour pasta suddenly vanished off the market and I tried some other lower carb (NOT keto) pastas that left a lot to be desired, I started to search. So I was thrilled when I can across Lulupasta! Hoping beyond hope they will make a spaghetti or linguine or fetuccine... The four pack on Amazon is cheaper than buying a three pack on the manufacturer's website. I made a homemade keto teriyaki sauce and had it with the penne and it was awesome!

I was pleasantly surprised with the pasta. You do have to go into it not expecting it to be like normal pasta. If you can’t then this isn’t the product for you. If you can be open minded it’s a great replacement. It’s thicker than regular pasta. However, it doesn’t leave you with that empty feeling. You feel full and satisfied. It was a great source of protein and low carb which I loved. It’s worth the price, and would buy again.

Excellent Keto pasta. It tastes just like regular pasta, just a bit more chewy, maybe I just needed to cook it a bit more, but all in all tastes amazing! Made an alfredo pasta bake for work with it and it turned out amazing. Be careful reheating it though, it can toughen up quick. The only issue with this product is the price/serving. It is expensive for 4 servings. It needs to be buffed up with other ingredients.

Don't go into this expecting it to taste like basic pasta and you will enjoy it. Otherwise put all the basic pasta things on it, and go crazy. The first dish I made with it was "antipasto pasta salad", which is an oxymoron but add some olives, sweet onion, smoked and regular cheeses, pieces of salami, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts. Throw a light lemon/garlic dressing on it, and it's SO good.

I'm diabetic, so the portion of regular traditional pasta I'd be allowed to have isn't enough to make it enjoyable to have. But this pasta puts all my favorite pasta recipes back on the menu. Yes, I can tell a slight difference between it and regular pasta, but it's definitely passable. I'm super happy with it.

Tastes good. How much flavor do noodles really have? Consistently is slightly tougher than it should be, I boiled 12 minutes to help make them a bit softer, this seemed to help but still sort of on the hard side. Definitely boil in bigger pot, directions state “some foam”, I’d say more. Would order again.

I see complaints here about the sack size. Yet the serving size is only a small handful when dried and pre-cooked. I boil mine for 30 minutes and they plump up. Anything larger than a small hand size would be too much to eat. I mix these with a steamed vegetable and add a tablespoon or so of pasta sauce.

I had been on the search for a pasta substitute that would work with my keto diet. After trying three other options I found this Lupin Pasta by Lulupasta. I made it with Shrimp Alfredo and it is definitely the BEST SUBSTITUTE FOR REAL PASTA!! Thank you for make this product! I will be ordering more! :)

This pasta is a little lower in carbs but really still to high. The pasta is heavy, it tasted better warmed up the next day which was surprising. I would think about using this every once in a while if it wasn’t so expensive. I can buy lentil pasta for much less and it has a similar taste, texture.
