I have been a fan and occasional customer of FiberGourmet, way back when they used to have their fiber cakes/brownies - whatever happened to those, anyway??? Anywho... I have not been let down yet. I have been doing the low-carb/keto diet/lifestyle on and off for years now and I cannot tell you how many low carb pasta options I have tried - spaghetti squash, konjac noodles, shirataki noodles, miracle noodles, oat fiber noodles, zucchini noodles, other vegetable noodles, hearts of palm noodles - I can't stand any one of them. I decided to be honest with myself and tell myself that if I want pasta, I'm going to have to sacrifice some carbs, but with FiberGourmet, I don't have to sacrifice all of them because of the high fiber content, which I ALSO love! This pasta tastes exactly like pasta because IT IS pasta. It isn't something TRYING to be pasta, and it isn't a "replacement" pasta - it really, truly is just pasta with more fiber and less carbs/calories. It's amazing. You can't tell the difference. Know why? Because it's pasta. I will never stop loving FiberGourmet. Flavor and texture is good, and the value for the money is good as well.

Good: 1) This product is the closest to real pasta of any of the pasta substitutes I have tried. It is so nice to have pasta without the carb loading, helping to lower insulin rates and packing on the extra sugar as fat. 2) This product contains more fiber than any other pasta substitue , making you feel much more full than regular pasta and since it slows down digestion, it keeps you feeling full for a much longer time. Bad: 1) 20 times more expensive than regula pasta. A dry, precooked pound of normal pasta produces a lot more food a dried, 1 precooked pound of this pasta (since this pasta absorbs much less water). So not only are you paying 10 times more per pound for this pasta (literally, $0.90 an ounce for this pasta versus less than $0.09 an ounce for regular pasta), but this past produces less half what regular pasta would per pound. That makes this 20 times more expensive than regular pasta. Summary: If you bring down the price of this pasta, it would become a regular staple for me. Until then, I doubt I will be buying often, if ever.

Each box is 8oz and usually I make 8oz mixed with some lean protein for a meal for both my husband and I, and if we have leftovers, it's rare. This time however, I had half of it leftover only b/c we felt full and couldn't eat anymore. I wonder if this is b/c of the high amt of fiber. Whatever, this morning my hubby tells me he's down 3 lbs. too. I'm jealous. Also, I've been on an eating binge almost 2 weeks, always feeling unsatiated. Last night I had no strong urges to eat snacks. I ate an apple more out of habit to eat something than b/c I was truly hungry. I won't say this is the outcome for everyone, but I thought I'd share. I'm using the leftover pasta in my bean soup tonight. I'd like to eventually try the different varieties of shapes of pasta now, too.

My family has been eating FiberGourmet pasta for years. We typically buy the rotini, but it has been out of stock for quite some time due to issues with the manufacturer, so we were forced to switch to penne. This cooks slightly differently than the rotini but is an adequate substitute for our favorite pasta. The flavor is bar-none the greatest of the lower calorie/high fiber pastas - no one can tell the difference between this brand and typical grocery store higher-calorie store brands. I love that it comes in half-pound packages, as this works well for our family of three, and we don't have open packages of half-eaten pasta sitting around the house getting stale. If you are afraid to try high fiber pasta, don't shy away from this brand. It's by far the best!

As far as taste goes its really good. I was struggling to find an alternative to Creamette 150 since I cannot find that anywhere anymore. It tastes just like regular pasta & I cannot tell the difference (my bf said he only tasted a difference when he ate a plain noodle). The texture is also the same. They don’t really use any protective packaging so I am glad it was all intact since its just in bags loose in a big box. My only gripe is how expensive it is. Its only 8 oz bags for if you do the math, almost $4 a box. The creamette at the store was at most $2 for 10 oz’s. & needing to buy 6 at a time is also expensive. At least it will get eaten & it does not taste bad.

This is about the 10th time I've purchased this 6-pack of penne. The nutritional specs on this stuff is amazing, and the product is perfect. Only the most discerning food critics can find fault compared to standard pasta. In my experience, this stuff cooks similar, tastes similar and the texture is similar. Likewise, it holds up well as left-overs also, either in the fridge or or frozen, and reheats well. I'm a huge fan of fiber gourmet pasta. huge. This lets us indulge in delicious pasta dishes without the shame & remorse of over-indulging and busting a diet. For carb conscious eating, this stuff is really a miracle.

I’ve been dying to try Pasta Gourmet’s pasta for a while now. Finally went ahead and ordered after trying MANY pasta replacements, ie zucchini noodles, spaghetti squash, plant-based yam/tofu pastas....you name it, IVE TRIED IT! Let me just say, this is THE REAL DEAL, THE BEST, LOWEST CALORIE REAL PASTA YOU WILL EVER FIND. At 130 calories for a 2 oz serving, less net carbs because of the fiber, THIS CANNOT BE BEAT. It’s SO worth the money. My only regret is not buying it sooner. Cooks up just like pasta because, IT IS PASTA! Without the guilt, without the calories and without the carbs. Oh I’m hooked.....for life!

I love pasta, but it does not love me. I just don't seem to be able to digest it. But this pasta, not only tastes great, it is so easy to digest. And, as an added bonus, it is healthy & low in calories. I have now tried every version of this pasta & they are all amazing. Some reviewers complained that the pasta is too firm, but that is not the case. You simply need to cook it a bit longer than regular pasta & then it is light as a feather. Because of how wonderful it tastes & because it is so light, you would think that you were eating homemade pasta. Almost hard to beleive that this stuff comes out of a box! :-)

Hello`

I love these, especially while on a diet, because I only use half a portion with veggies etc. and still get a great deal of fiber which lowers the carbs. Also, using these as penne and meat balls, just buy the 96% lean hamburger, and add brownsburry (sp) double fiber bread, eggs, and etc. along with whatever else you put in your meat balls, and wow ... I just wish I could afford to buy them more often, along with their other products. I saw a high fiber egg noodle by a different brand; I think I will see if the price is more reasonable. this one so far is the best price, because at least it gives you 6 boxes ...

I actually prefer the FiberGourmet pasta over regular pasta because, in every dish I've tried it in, it tastes exactly the same. Perhaps if I was eating plain noodles I would notice a difference, but even when I test it for doneness, the flavor seems the same. So, why not enjoy pasta with a lot fewer calories? It also seems that it's easier to cook this pasta al dente. That means if you prefer your pasta on the mushy side, you may find this pasta a little stiffer with your regular cook times.

I love pasta but can never enjoy it while dieting. I didn’t have very high expectations as most diet food is not always the best tasting. This brand however just tasted like normal pasta boxed pasta. Perfect addition to my pantry. However, they do need to update the nutritional information. I purchased the penne because it had the highest amount of fiber based on the product pictures. This product actually has 18 grams of fiber not 20. Not a deal breaker but the pictures are not accurate.

A very good, reduced calorie, tasty pasta. I have to admit it is a bit chewy and 'heavy.' It cooks relatively slowly, which allows for a wide range of 'doneness.' It is very filling. I have experimented with a few lower calorie pastas and this is one of the better ones, although there are still lower calorie pastas (e.g., Impastable Fettuccine by ThinSlim Foods) that are useful, however this one is more filling, satisfying, and good tasting.

This is my favorite non traditio al pasta. I have tried high protien, whole wheat, miracle noodles, red bean pasta etc. And none of them have lived up to classic pasta. But this high fiber pasta tastes so good. It's just like regular pasta but a fraction of the calories and it fills you up because of the fiber content. I would say it's a little pricey each bag is only 4 servings which is a bummer but I still think it's worth it.

Just a quick note... a very good friend of mine who also battles weight issues and love pasta turned me on to this product. We bought a box at Whole Foods and I was impressed by the taste but especially by the low calories and high fiber content. Amazingly it's about 40% cheaper at Amazon than at Whole Foods, and being an Amazon Prime customer saved me on shipping. I'll be back for more soon. I love quality and a bargain.

My husband and I have been on a low carb diet for two years and I miss pasta most of all. We've tried other low carb pastas and weren't crazy about them, but we loved Fiber Gourmet. The taste is midway between white and whole wheat pasta. Unlike other low carb pastas, we didn't experience any side effects in terms of digestive issues (if you know what I mean). I can't wait to try other products from Fiber Gourmet.
