So I got these because I loved that they were low carb and I was missing noodles and got tired of the palm hearts. I did not read the reviews though until after I had tried the one bag. They were barely edible, no taste at all, chalky and tough. So, I experimented with the next bag - I boiled it for 15 minutes in water, drained it, added almond milk and butter and then simmered for like 15 minutes. It was better tasting. I made mac and cheese with it and baked it. Not so bad. I then reheated them today for lunch with a bit of butter and they taste so much better, even good tasting! I believe letting them sit overnight in the fridge and then adding butter really added to the softness and taste. I do NOT want to have to let the noodles sit over night every time, but I may do that to my remaining two bags so I don't waste them. I doubt I will buy the 4 pack again. I will most likely be buying individual bags from here on out. UPDATE: These actually turn out good with some finessing. First, the elbows I used for mac and cheese. I light boiled for 10 minutes, then drained them. Then I added a cup of milk and 4 table spoons of butter and simmered for another 10 minutes. Then I added my cheese sauce and baked it. Turned out perfect! I saw where someone boiled the noodles in half chicken broth, half water. Definitely going to try that.

I boil mine a few extra minutes than the package suggests. I like firm pasta as opposed to squishy so I don't mind it at all, but I definitely do still have to cook a few extra minutes. The taste is fine, I can't taste it underneath the sauce anyway so I assume its fine if I can't taste it. The serving size is enough to keep me full until the next meal even though it doesn't look like much in the bowl. I will continue to buy. I would give it a 5 if I could get it just a tiny bit softer. I haven't tried cooking a mac and cheese yet which would likely soften it more as it sits in the sauce.

I decided to try a new company for low carb pasta and while the product itself is fine, I was disappointed in my 4 pack of pasta I received because every bag was short the Servings per container. The serving size is 2 oz with 4 Servings per container; however, after weighing out my 4 Servings, every single pasta container was short half an ounce. While this seems trivial to some, when you count macros daily, this is a bad thing. Unfortunately, won't order again due to inaccurate numbers.

They do take longer to cook, but they absorb flavors from whatever i cook them with. The texture is always somewhat firm, no matter how long you boil them and they do break up easily, but we like them better than other low carb noodles we have had. wish they weren’t as costly, though.

A little pricey and honestly 7 carbs for a whole serving isn’t bad considering how much you get per serving. I usually use 1/2 of the suggested serving so my carbs for that meal aren’t too high and I just add a salad or veggie to go with it. The one thing I must say is cooking times are very off. I have to boil these for at least 30 minutes to get them to the soft pasta texture. Overall a great product.

I'm glad I can finally eat pasta again. it's not the best pasta ever. it's a little on the crumbly side, but it's close enough. Now, I can have pasta when the rest of the family is having pasta.

It takes longer than directions says. They taste really good with garlic, parmesan, basil, and olive oil with chicken breast. You don't need much before getting full.

I really wanted to like this. I've been doing Keto for awhile and have really missed pasta. So, when I saw the good reviews I decided to try this "pasta" only to find out I wasted my money. I was so excited after reading the reviews I shared a bag with my niece who does Keto and one with a friend whose husband is diabetic. The first bag I tried I thought it was my fault because I cooked it in a wrong pot. I dressed it with garlic and olive oil, my favorite way to eat pasta. The second bag was in the right pot and used it to make turkey Alfredo. (See picture.) I cooked on salt and olive oil. After drsining, I added butter, Alfredo sauce, turkey, Mozzarella, and Parmesan. My reaction once I took my first bite was again: Yuk! Basically heard the same thing from my niece and friend after they cooked theirs. I expected some texture difference but not such a drastic difference. The flavor was also terrible. It was like eating, I imagine, chalk but chalk would probably taste better. I will not be wasting my money on this again.

Great subsititution for real pasta. I personally like it cooked a little longer than recommended and after a few different tries, I learned it taste much better if it is baked into a dish after cooking (I.e. homemade baked mac and cheese). A little pricey, but very filling per serving so it probably evens out.

First off, if you love the al dente durum experience, be prepared for disappointment. All the "can't tell the difference" ppl would eat cotton if you dipped it in chocolate, I think. Beyond that, how you cook this makes a big difference. First - do not be afraid to overcook, it cooks differently. Unlike durum, it firms up with more cooking. Al dente lovers will be tempted to pull it off when it first softens through, which is way too early, it's nasty soft chalk at that point. Cook twice as long and it will be almost as firm, but most of the chalkiness will have turned to noodle. Second - don't add salt to the boil until near the end. Otherwise the core will never get wet/cooked enough to not be chalky. Best results are still a far cry from good pasta, but hey, it's 1/6 the net carbs and 9x the fiber, so...

These are the best noodles we have been able to find that are somewhat Keto. We have tried lots of other types of substitutes, but nothing really came close to real traditional pasta noodles. Then we saw these- OK yes they are a bit pricey- but we thought we would give it a shot. And YAY! We found that with a few tweaks they came close enough that it satisfied our pasta cravings. First- you need to cook these noodles for twice the amount of cooking time that is listed on the package (maybe even a few minutes more, but not 3xs). Second- they do taste chalky as other reviewers have mentioned, but there are ways to get around this: salt the water heavily so that the noodles absorb some flavor. And lastly- instead of putting your sauce on top of the noodles, add your noodles to your sauce and cook for at least 5 minutes so they can absorb some flavor. We very slightly undercook the noodles (by like 2 minutes) and then finish them in our sauce for about 10 minutes. This seems to create the best outcome if you are cooking stovetop. Also we have baked it in a baked pasta dish and that worked really well too. Hope this helps!

Found I had to cook it a little longer. If I was using enough sauce to coat the pasta it was fine, dishes without a lot of sauce - it tasted of cardboard and was not good. Probably wouldn’t purchase again due to cost.

considering a 16 ounce box of pasta can be had for $1, these 8 ounce bags for $8 are ridiculously overpriced. there just isn't any good low carb pasta out there so they're the only game in town. I buy Mission low carb tortillas and they're very reasonably priced at my local grocery store. I can't understand why these are so expensive. That said, the pasta is good, the only low carb pasta i've tried that even remotely resembles pasta. if you're looking for good low carb pasta this is unfortunately your only good option. but for what it is, it's way overpriced

Ok so they aren't the best tasting thing compared to regular noodles but they are low carb. Not too bad actually. I've only tried the fettuccini so far... Made chicken alfredo and added salt to the water and to the noodles after. It turned out pretty good. Also added a few extra minutes to the cooking time. I'm excited to try the other ones.😁

I gave an overall 4 for the variety pack, but to be more specific, I need to break down each of the products and what I used them for. I used the Elbows and Penne to make Mac and Cheese and the results were outstanding (5 out of 5). Next I used the Fettuccini and the results were good but I I did feel like the noodles were a bit chalky and stiff, despite having cooked them for about 15 minutes (3 out of 5). I used the Penne in a crock pot to make a version of chicken noodle soup and the noodles were able to hold up to a long slow cook (5 out of 5). In general these are great and really do deliver on the low carb option for pasta. I recommend cooking them a bit longer then suggested even if you like al dente.
