Just like beef is one of my favorites I make so many dishes with this plant-based meat alternative if you prepare it right it will be juicy and tender. I use it for beef stew, stir fry, beef fried rice, pepper steak, cheese steak subs, barbeque beef, and much more. It freezes well and it doesn't change the texture.

After boiling this with onions and a few seasonings, I enjoyed everything about it. I pan fried some and enjoyed a Philly Cheese Steak, then made a Beef Stew with potatoes & gravy. It only takes about 30 minutes to soften & enjoy, I love it!

I was adamant about the taste because its look when is not hydrated but when I prepared it, seasoned it and cooked it, it was really tasty.

We have been using this TVP for over two years now and couldn’t be happier. We soak it in vegetable broth for an hour, them put it in an air fryer for ten minutes then can incorporate it into Shepherds Pie, Chili, Burritos, and anything that utilizes beef. Regards, Sam Thompson

A lot of meat replacements are either high in sodium or fat, this is neither. It is unseasoned so it actually has no flavored but that is perfect so you can make it what you want it to be in the hydration process. My wife has been hesitant on the meat alternatives, she says I am more adventurous than her. This turned the tide for her. She's on board now. She wants to try the chicken TVP now. Good for novices to the plant based lifestyle.

This is a perfect "transition" food if you're just starting out with healthy eating or going away from meat. I've been Vegan for 5+ years now and what I've learned with TVP is how long you soak your tvp to get the right texture. For example, if you follow the instructions on the package, the tvp gets extremely soft. If you remove it from the water too early... you'll get a harder chewy texture. Either way that's just step one, the last step is how long you cook or fry your tvp..For me my preference to get rid of the soft texture is to fry it until the tvp gets dark and you can see it getting darker. Once you get it to that point, add your sauce and flavoring like normal meat and you're good to go!! I love the product!!! People who don't do it to their preference tends to give up on it. There's not one right way for TVP, find your preference and master it and you'll blow people's mind away when you serve it for dinner! I'm not one of those "vegan converters", but when people eat the different types of plant based meat that are flavorful that I serve, they definitely start talking about going away from meat.. just saying lol

This product is a great vegan substitute in any recipe where you would normally use small pieces of beef. The product itself doesn't have a lot of flavor, so it's best used in recipes with sauces and spices. I use it in vegetarian Chili where it lends extra texture and protein. It tends to come in smaller chunks than pictured, smaller than the same company's chicken product. Do not expect it to taste like beef. Easy to use, it rehydrates in boiling water.

This textured protein is the best one we tried. The taste is plain like other textured protein products and is to be expected, however the texture is very realistic to real beef . Once hydrated, it appears to have fatty veins or tendons. Quite unique! We love it!!!

I love this stuff, makes the best carne asada, and is absolutely close enough to beef to convince a meat eater that it’s actually cow!

You can use this in anything. I've used it in dishes like stew and stir fry.
