Marie Versatile™ CO-SLEEPER® Bassinet

Do not waste your money
We had a different Arm’s Reach co-sleeper model for our daughter 11 years ago & loved it! I was determined to buy another Arm’s Reach for our son. Long story short, I bought this ahead of time because they were out of stock for so long. We finally put it together when our baby was born and were so disappointed. Screws were missing (which to me for the $$ should NEVER happen) and the mattress is like sleeping on a piece of wood! My son HATES it! Despite lack of use customer service would not do a refund because it’s beyond 30 days. And beware, if you don’t like it within the 30 days they still charge a 25% re-stocking fee! $60... I was then rudely hung up on (promise I was not rude myself, only disappointed on the phone).

Not safe! Defective mattress
I wanted to love this bassinet! We used it for our first child for four months with no issues. Our second baby was born and we used it for two months with no issues, until one morning when baby awoke there was a deep dent where her head was resting. It concerned me that it dented so quickly, when it had been fine prior to that. I put her head at the other end the next night and it was dented by morning. After multiple calls and emails to the company with pictures of the defective mattress, they would not replace the mattress for me. I would not recommend this product or company. The bassinet only got six months of use out of it before it was very unsafe for a baby to sleep in. I now have to find another place for my little one to sleep that is safe if she rolls over. Baby gear is not cheap! Save your money and go with a brand that will guarantee their products longer than six months! They probably won’t post this on their website, so I’m writing reviews every place I can to warn new parents that this mattress is unsafe and not worth the investment!

Never had a worse experience than when I bought our co-sleeper
My family bought us this mini co-sleeper for our first born who is just now 11 weeks old. We thought it would be easy and convenient to use as its mini and convenient to travel with. That part was true, however, after taking it down and putting together just twice, the lock broke and we were unable to reassemble the bassinet any longer. After reaching out to customer service, we were basically told we were suddenly assembling the bassinet wrong (after we’ve already successfully done it multiple times) and that we would have to video call for them to “walk us through it”. Not sure how that’s supposed to work when the lock is physically broken but okay I’ll humor you. After having that conversation we offered to just buy the broken piece, and we were met with a snarky customer service agent who claims that our bassinet isn’t broken. Save yourself the time, the money, and the attitude you’ll get when trying to resolve the issue. This product will only be for you if you like cheaply made unsafe products for your baby, and employees who could care less if your child falls through there bassinet or not. My family and friends will no longer be loyal customers to this brand.

Don't waste your money on this! Disappointed all-around...
I was hopeful about this bedside bassinet because it scoots under the bed, looks nice, and is recommended by one of my favorite scientists (Dr. James McKenna). However, after assembling and using it for 2.5 months, I have determined that it's not a good product - for several reasons. First, it wobbles really bad, making it feel like a cheap product with poor design. Second, the mobile looks/feels cheap too. Not only that, but the toys that are included on the mobile are not developmentally appropriate. Where's the black/white high-contrast objects that are facing TOWARD the newborn's face to be appealing? Third, our bed and mattress are standard height and it barely fits under the bed on the highest option. We'd have to buy extenders to make it really work. At the moment, our baby slides to one side because the bed is slanted (due to it not fitting under/on top of our mattress). And finally, the music box has extremely limited options and runs out of batteries quickly. You also can't tell what volume you're on or which tune you've chosen unless you cycle through using the buttons. Come on... get with modern technology, Arm's Reach! Seems like this product didn't go through sufficient quality control and testing with actual parents. DON'T BUY. YOU'LL REGRET IT!

Defective Product
We were highly recommended the Arms Reach Mini Ezee 3-in-1 Co-sleeper and were so excited to receive it for our baby shower! On our initial use, we were excited about the co-sleeper for its convenience and mobility. However, soon after setting it up, we weren't able to get one of the arms to lock. After disassembling and assembling it for our first trip, another two arms were unable to lock. Now, we are concerned for our child's safety as the arms could cause the bassinet to collapse. We have tried to contact Arms Reach via phone and mail on a regular basis for the last month, but have not received any response back. Their phone lines default to a busy line, no matter what time of day we call. And no one responds to both our voice mails and writing. Although there is a warranty promised, it is unable to be upheld due to lack of customer service. Buyer beware! Although the product seems to be very capable, the inherent defect makes it a very dangerous product for any child, and the corporate communication is incredibly lacking.

Good product, upset with mattress
The bassinet is great overall, but I am very upset that the mattress is made from polyurethane that does not have any environmental/nontoxic certifications. Given that the company does not offer alternative mattresses for this model, and I have been unable to find alternatives of this size from other companies, I am unable to use the co-sleeper and wish I would return it.

Very Scratchy
I bought the organic sheets because I'm trying to minimize the chemicals that come in contact with my baby's skin. I also thought that surely the organic sheets would be softer/better quality than the other sheets. Boy, was I wrong. The organic sheets are SIGNIFICANTLY scratchier than the sheet that comes with the thing to begin with - and I've washed them twice to see if it would make it better. It didn't. They still feel terrible.

Safety concerns and longevity
This cosleeper worked well for the 6 months with our first daughter. I packed it as directed and wrapped it in moving plastic and stored it in a temperature controlled basement. Wife and I are having another child only 18 months later and now 2 of the lock joints of the frame will not lock. I have tried many ways to make them lock but have found no success. If this item fails after this short of a period of time I am concerned if this same malfunction could happen sooner. There is no reason this should be malfunctioning with such minimal use (we never traveled with it and it remained assembled all 6 months). Please check the locks on the frames before each use. We are now going to need to find a new co sleeper with only 2 weeks to our due date.

Really disliked this
I’m going to be the odd one out and say I dislike this bassinet a lot. One of my former nanny families used this as a changing table. It was so flimsy and seemed very overpriced for the quality. Maybe they didn’t assemble it correctly, but it was way too wobbly for my liking. I did like how the sheets had the Velcro on the corners to keep them in place. The vinyl mattress was really convenient for changing diapers on and easy to wipe clean

Decent Bedside “Mini crib”
This bassinet is more like a mini crib alternative which I love! Though overpriced for the materials (all plastic) I do feel it will grow with our infant. The sheets and accessories can be hard to acquire as the website is not always fully functioning, leaving you to source Things like sheets, and leg extensions from amazon or other sellers. The sheets From amazon do not feel like the original sheet given with the bassinet and the sheet sizing is custom to this unit so you’re limited in variety and style. They are also well above market price so they're expensive. Overall a decent bassinet option for long term use and since bedside cribs/bassinets are scarce in America.

Versatile bassinet
I was gifted the arms reach versatile bassinet as a shower gift. I wanted the bassinet because the feet specifically go under the bed. I do like the aspect of it being able to be lifted or dropped according to level of bed and slid under. Unfortunately, our puppy sleeps in our bed and is too nosy to have the bassinet legs slipped under the bed since she pokes her head in there. We still have room for it to be set against the wall and I love how easy it is to get her in and out of it. It was very easy to set up. The only negatives of this bassinet is the sheet is too snug for the mattress. It needs to be a little looser so it doesn't pinch or crunch some of the mattress ends. Also, when putting batteries in the noise maker and turning it on....it will randomly turn on and cycle through the sounds and not turn off. Super annoying. I have taken the batteries out so we just don't use that part.

versatile bassinet
I got the versatile bassinet as a shower gift. It was super easy and fast to put together. I like that it is adjustable to put under the bed. The only negative is the noise maker...when you hit play and then cycle through the sounds to turn it off...it will randomly turn on out of nowhere. I have to unscrew it to take out the battery so it will not do that. Kind of upsetting for something so expensive.

Not very soft (yet)!
I ordered this sheet to replace a hand-me-down of the same type. Out of the package, the new sheet was much rougher than the old one. After washing and drying once, it was very wrinkled and very rough. I ironed it, which only helped a bit. Still somewhat wrinkled and definitely not soft. Also, it is quite tight on the mattress when used with the mattress protector pad; it was difficult to smooth out the lumps. I am hopeful that the sheet will continue to soften after many washes considering that the old sheet IS relatively soft. However, I don't love the idea of my newborn sleeping on such a rough surface, so I may try other options. On the plus side, I like the velcro on the bottom that attaches securely to the bassinet.
