This face plate is exceptionally bulky. All of the main base plate is super thick, and then both of the flipping little access faces are SUPER thick too. I wasn’t anticipating it to be so thick…. And so after I put away all the Christmas decorations this year, and return the furniture to its normal spots… I might have to uninstall this again because it won’t fit behind a little end table. It will force any of your furniture to sit out a couple inches away from the wall. And that honestly doesn’t work for me with my end tables, they have to sit against the wall to be safe with the kids, but these face plates are so insanely thick that that’s not even possible. I may just resort to moving this into the kids room if I can’t make it work better in the living room. But that’s a bummer because I needed it mostly for the living area and when I’m vacuuming and mopping constantly during the day with the kids running around on the floor. Then I think there’s an obvious fatal flaw here no one seems to be discussing. One of these face plates is $25. How many outlets do you have in your home? With this company engineering a child safety face plate that’s designed to replace all of your normal face plates… then how are they are pricing them so high?? Just to replace the ones in my living room alone, I would have to spend $300 on the 12 outlets here!! How does this work economically for anyone in real life??? I’m genuinely asking! This is not a sustainable product that was designs with realistic intentions of helping moms. It’s a gimmick product that’s insanely bulky, that’s wildly overpriced, and probably is making the creators A LOT of money quickly, from people just buying one to try out. I would not buy this product myself, and I would not recommend this to others. If I had spent my own money on this, I would 100% be returning it and getting my money back.

This outlet cover is childproof and easy to use once you know how it works. I was going to use it in a church nursery but it turned out to be not completely intuitive on how to open the plugs for people. So it works better in a home or where there aren't a lot of different people accessing the plug without being shown how it works.

This product replaces the entire outlet cover and cannot be easily removed by a child. Overall it works as intended. Fit tolerance is not super forgiving. I tested on one outlet and the existing decora wall plate cover fit flush against the surface. Placing this self closing outlet cover on left a noticeable gap as the back did not make contact with the surface. The product works well and I’m sure people are not buying for the looks so this criticism is likely inconsequential to most buyers.

At first I was thinking the price seemed awfully high for just one outlet cover but as soon as I took it out of the box I realized it wasn’t like any outlet cover I’ve tried before and after installing it I can say it really is well worth the cost! This design is genius. The rotating covers are tricky and strong enough to keep little ones from being able to open them, but it’s super simple and easy for adults to open. The auto shut feature works amazingly well, it immediately snaps right back into place when a plug is removed and is securely locked. No more worrying about replacing a piece or even having to think about it after unplugging something. The materials and construction is top notch. It’s super high quality, extremely durable and I have no worries about it breaking or wearing out at all. It’s not cheap thin plastic like most outlet covers are and doesn’t look cheap at all. Another plus, it’s Made in the USA and from a women owned company. Overall, I highly recommend this Shut Your Face outlet cover. The name might be silly and the price might seem high, but trust me once you unbox it any doubts you have about if it’s worth it will be gone! I’ve already placed an order for enough to cover all the outlets in my baby’s room, the playroom and the bathroom. I highly recommend getting these covers for your child’s bedroom and playroom, the most important rooms to have the best and safest options in. I can’t think of even one negative thing to say about this outlet cover, it really is perfect.

I didn't realize that in order to put this on, you have to fully remove your current outlet cover, and install this outlet cover on top of it. But that ended up being fine for me, it's just two screws. The outlet covers are all pre-installed onto this already so there's no assembly needed for that, which I guess probably made this an easier install than it would have otherwise been. The covers are not difficult to press, but not too easy either. I'd say they're at just the right sweet spot. You can turn them out of the way for when you need them, and they do just spring right back as soon as they get the chance. It's definitely convenient, for sure. I have used more standard outlet covers, and these are significantly more expensive considering you get enough for just one outlet with this. I think regular outlet covers are just fine, and you don't absolutely need this cool feature of "snapping back into place", if you're on a budget. But if you're not on a budget or you have ADHD and know that you'll never remember to re-cover the outlet and want something that can take that one worry away from you, then I think this is really great. It does the job and works.

This outlet protector is quite nice. It is actually a full replacement for the faceplate on the outlet, just unscrew the existing plate and this screws on to replace it. It comes with screws too. The covers are pretty easy to open with two fingers and are spring loaded to close shut as soon as they are able from something being unplugged. Pretty neat and works well.

Amazon must have a robot that monitors and flags reviews, because my reviews have been nothing but helpful and it keeps getting flagged. So, you have to make it really short and skip buzzwords that might get flagged. Sigh. Here goes. This is a great outlet cover, unlike all the other ones out there. WORKS GREAT.

This outlet cover is the best I've tried for baby-proofing. It was super easy to install and works perfectly for keeping my outlets inaccessible to my curious baby. I love that I can still easily access the outlet whenever I need to plug in my phone, laptop, or vacuum. The double-action release spring-back cover is a brilliant feature—it closes securely every time, so I don't have to worry about forgetting to baby-proof after using the outlet. I'm going to need a few more.

This product is easy for adults to use, but impossible for toddlers. You have to press in both sides while turning the flap which is a skill the little ones don't have. There are two screws to undo from the holding frame they arrive on, then reattach them over the outlets. They snap back into place once you remove the plug of whatever you're using.

This outlet cover is easy to install and not too difficult to use. You do have to use both hands to plug in something to the outlet after installing this because one hand is necessary to hold the safety arm open and the other to plug. I like that this allows me not to have loose baby safety outlet covers laying around when I am using a plug since it’s all one piece.

This is a very high quality outlet cover. I was impressed by the quality of the spring that is used in the mechanism. it is made of hard plastic of great quality. It is very easy to install only needing to unscrew and screw back in 2 screws commonly found on the outlet covers. Depending on the adapter or appliance you're plugging in, the spring loaded cover can get in the way. that's the only downside. But it should be fine for most cases.

I have 3 little ones and we have always used the traditional baby covers on outlets but have sometimes had difficulty getting them off when we need to use the outlets. This is so much easier to use for when you need to use the outlet. I really like the sleek look and feel like my kids are safe with these.

This is a child-resistant outlet safety cover that works by simply squeezing the opposing buttons and rotating to reveal the outlet. It's simple enough for adults to use, but takes skill and strength for toddlers. Be sure to choose the correct outlet. I chose the one-screw cover and it comes with the screw. It is easy to install. I like that the entire outlet is covered and secured to the wall. This is a game-changer and necessity for those with small, curious children.

I ordered the duplex / one screw outlet cover and it was super simple to install. Installation was simply removing one screw from the old plate and replacing the plate and screw with this Geddy’s Mom cover. It really baby-proofs the outlet since you have to pinch on either side to get at the outlet. The cover will not stay open but springs back as soon as it’s released. If you’re looking to securely baby-proof an outlet, this will certainly do the trick.

I love this product. My wife and I have tried every outlet cover on the market, and we found that they were either too easy for our kids to open or very frustrating for us adults to operate. Enter SHUT YOUR FACE -- my kids can't figure out how to get it open, it's easy (and even fun) to open for me and my wife, and the thing looks great. But my favorite feature is the automatic snap-back when I unplug something. It's fantastic that I don't have to remember to replace a cover. The quality and durability also impressed me. I was curious if the mechanism or plastic would wear out after a lot of use, but I sat down and operated the mechanisms over and over and over for 15 minutes straight (I know -- I'm a nerd), and the mechanisms still operate just as perfectly on the 1,000th iteration as they did on the very first. I rarely write reviews, but this product is brand new and is so great that I felt obligated to take the time to sit down and share my positive experience. As a work from home mama, I'm always juggling a computer and two phones and that means cords in every room, behind every sofa, and hanging down off the kitchen counters. It's such a hot mess. I received the cord covers from this brand as a gift and ended up buying myself a second pack after my toddler, an infant at the time, grabbed one of my chargers and put it in her mouth before I even knew she had the ability. When I saw they had this outlet cover I ordered it immediately. I have a strong feeling I'll be buying more in the future to hand out to friends.

Simply amazing!! I don't post a lot of reviews, but I had to share my thoughts on this one. We've got young kids and Iv'e tried pretty much every type of outlet cover out there. I heard this product was coming out so I’ve been waiting for it to hit Amazon. Got it! Love it!! Works SO much better than the other solutions and looks better than other products too!! I like to give practical gifts for new parents. My friend told me about these and what a game changer they are. This is a smart design and easy to use. Just a tip here--make sure your outlet is the 2-screw kind. It doesn’t fit on those older single-screw outlets.

I have two children and have tried all different kinds of safety plug products! I often find them either too hard to remove in order to use the plug myself or too easy to remove that I worry about the safety of my children’s little fingers being able to remove the outlet safety plug. I’m loving this “shut you face”product because it’s easy for an adult or older child to push the two buttons and twist for easy access to the outlet (see video), AND hard enough for tiny hands to not be able to twist the mechanism. It’s worth the effort to install and it looks really modern and blends right in since it’s all white. I’ve gotten compliments already from other parents and am now giving them as gifts to new parents!
