It does stay on the end of the charging cord and protect children from opening. It is difficult to open. The only downside is that when you do open it to use it you either have to take it right off and place it somewhere (and remember to turn it on) OR close it on the remaining cord (but then the product just slides down). I would hope the manufacturer finds a way for it to say just below the charging piece. I ended up returning this product.

I never would have thought to do this, but it’s really helpful with a small child around. I do wish that it would stay in place when you remove it to use it. As soon as you in cover the port it slides down the cord and sometimes it hard to reach to recover it, especially if you’re nap trapped by a sleeping child.

This was my fault for multitasking but I’m sure someone else may make the same mistake. In the picture it shows 3 stacked on top of each other and a person holding one, about to put the cord in, so I thought this came with 4 (since 4 were shown in the image). However, it only comes with 3. They are very light weight and feel like cheap plastic but will hopefully do the job. Will update after using them for awhile.

This was the only childproof USB cover I could find. And they do work. But it is so tedious to have to open the case, remove it, realign it on the cord, and shut it again and then do the same to close it. I wish it were designed with the current side clasp closure and then also a button release or something that opened a flap at the end where the plug is. That way, you could just slide it down the cord when not in use.

I thought this was a good idea. The problem is the caps slip down the cord if you leave it attached after you open the cap to plug in your phone, and on my 6ft cord I just don't bother to pull it all the way up to recover the charger tip. When I take it all the way off, I misplace it which is worse since it's a more likely choking hazard than the chance my baby will put the end of the charger in her mouth. I still like the idea though.

So wanted this to work but it didn't fit my charger. I have a heavy duty android charger with an inch long rubber section on the cord but because of that the box won't close properly over the charger. Also wondering why they chose to make it out of plastic instead of silicon. It seems like with opening and closing it frequently silicon would be more durable.
**Update** Wow, great customer service and they stand behind their product! Company emailed and addressed my concerns/gave detailed explanation that hinge actually strengthens with use. Sadly it still won't fit my charger. I'm attaching a photo as well as it was super close to fitting and may still work for others with chargers like mine if the rubber is short enough to also fit inside.

I was so excited when I found that these existed but my 13 month old figured out how to get them off in about a day. To be fair he's a smart, mechanically minded baby but jeeeeeze. Back to the drawing board.
UPDATE: I just wanted to add that the company has been in contact with me to try to find a solution to my baby opening these (who is apparently the ONLY baby who has figured out how to open them). So customer service is A+. Also my baby learned how to open them with his TEETH, so I don't think any baby could get these open by hand, they're even a little difficult for me to open. So a really awesome product and company that unfortunately just didn't work out for my particular baby!
