Nitpicker

My eye doctor had recommended this product for my dry eyes, and I've found it to be helpful. Before I started using this product, I often awoke during the night because of dry eyes, even though I use prescription eyedrops (Restasis) during the day, and right before going to bed I use either over-the-counter eyedrops (Systane Gel Drops) or eye gel (Refresh P.M.), all on the recommendation of my eye doctor. Since I began also using this eye compress, I'm able to sleep through the night on most nights. The biggest downside that I've found is that the compress needed to be replaced after a few months. The elastic on the noseband had stretched out, and the heating had become uneven . Also, I suggest removing all makeup on and around your eyes before using this compress; otherwise, it will get stained, and the stains are almost impossible to remove. Also, beware of possible price markups if you buy this from your doctor. My doctor charges almost twice what I can buy this same product for on Amazon.

I just haven't t had the time to use the masks until now, as I have been out of stare for family funerals. I saw a spot on the mask, before I used it, and was concerned, I put it in the microwave for 17sec. And the damn thing exploded!!! SO You can say, I am so happy!!

I like the way it feels, soothing & comforting. I don't yet know if it has any real medical benefit.

This was a great solution to my eye doctor's orders to use warm washcloths over my eyes to keep them moist. These are much easier to use and keep a warm moist compress on my eyes a couple of times a day. Good value.

Does exactly what you need it to. Comfortable and holds heat for the ten to twelve minutes I need. It’s still warm when I take it off. You also get full coverage.

My Ophthalmologist recommended these eye compresses to me during my last visit due to severe dry eyes. These compresses are being used in conjunction with eye drops as a part of my treatment plan. I microwave the compress for 15 seconds and I can immediately use them, I do not have to wait for them to cool down. They work well anywhere between 8 and 10 minutes and do provide moisture for my eyes when I remove them. NOTE: do not lay your head back or the weight from the eye compresses will give you temporary blurred vision once you remove the compress. It's best to use it sitting up or even with your head slightly tilted down to avoid any pressure on your eyeballs, otherwise I think they work great and I would highly recommend them.

For MGD, these are a simple but very, very effective maintenance/treatment. 10 minutes and the burning, throbbing, and blurred vision from dry eye are down by 75%. I use this with a TTO eyelid cleanser and Optase eyedrops.

Our optometrist recommends this for my issues with dry issues. After two days it already seems to be helping. Do set your phone timer for ten minutes before you use it so you don't have to interrupt the time.

Books should deliver

I have a condition that requires using warm moist compresses on my eye twice a day. Until the Bruders I had to wring out hot wet washcloths--messy, time consuming, and hard on the hands. The Bruder masks make their own moisture as the tiny crystals inside them heat up in the microwave. I am so grateful to my ophthalmologist for recommending them. Velcro straps wrap around the back of your head to hold the mask in place so you can be hands-free instead of holding a wet cloth to your face for 5-10 minutes. They retain heat pretty well and you can push on these pillowy masks (they feel like bean bags) to redistribute the crystals inside and give your eye a little massage while they're delivering warmth and moisture to your eye. They are washable and come in pairs so you can have one to use while the other is drying. I keep mine mostly clean by putting a clean new tissue between my eyes and the mask so I don't have to wash it often.
