Took care of my single eye blepharitis (eyelid inflammation; often d/t clogged oil duct) after 3 days of using as directed. Followed directions for heating/reheating it up in microwave and it provided several minutes (10ish?) of warmth each time. Enjoyed being able to use my non-inflamed eye while this product was doing it's job on the other eye(lid). Plus, it's hands-free and comfortable (eg, not too heavy or stiff). The beanbag-like consistency of the sack causes it to mold around your eyelid, especially when lying down but also when vertical, which I feel helped distribute warmth. Notably, it's white, so that makes oil gland and eye gunk stains very visible, but maybe that's a good thing since you know when it needs to be washed and oil is definitely being drawn out. Like the product sheet warned, I did experience blurry vision in my treated eye. This lasted ~1-2hrs after each application, so definitely take that into consideration for timing use. Untreated eye had zero side effects, and my healed eye is now perfectly normal. Highly recommend!

I developed conjunctivitis and as part of my treatment, my ophthalmologist urged me to put a hot/warm compress on my eye for 5 to 10 minutes at a time a couple times a day. I have a busy schedule and found myself not making the time for it as often as I should have. Then my primary care doctor told me about this product and directed me to Amazon to purchase it. It's perfect. So convenient! It doesn't drip water constantly; it only covers one eye at a time, and it is heated in the microwave in seconds. Somehow it provides the damp heat I need and feels great. My doctor wants me to continue to use it for dry eye that develops as a result of hours of computer use every day. I use it more often, because I can continue to work, read or watch TV with the other eye while I am using it. Also, it's so easy to use that I use it more often, which has greatly alleviated my ongoing dry eye problem now that my conjunctivitis is cured. My eyes feel so much better. Great product!

Basically this patch does a good job of maintaining a high enough temperature for three minutes or so in order to melt the oil in your glands and get them flowing. I also like that the eyepad is probably 30% larger than the eyepads on the standard two pad bruder mask which makes it easier to get more heat to every part of your eyelid. Unfortunately, just like the two pad version, the strap is only 22" long so if your head is any bigger it will be too tight against your eyes. I ended up just cutting off the straps and manually holding it against whichever eye which gets annoying. Also my head isn't that big (23") and the strap is too tight. So in short, I like this single patch more overall than the more common two pad version but the strap length is still too short.

I'd been resisting spending the money. I'd also been doing the warm washcloth compress which was problematic because 1) I had to keep getting up and warming it and 2) I couldn't see anything! Now with the one eye mask I can go about my business while wearing it on one eye rewarm it and go about my business while wearing it on the other eye. It feels so comfortable and soothing and it's so easy. The strap is adjustable and if you have any trouble with it I suppose you could an elastic headband to secure it but I doubt that would be necessary. Can't wait for my nighttime application to wear while I stream my favorite show! Made my life easier!

This eyepatch compress heats up in just ~15 seconds in the microwave which is great. What isn't so great is that apparently one need some extra stuff to use this properly. It comes with an advertisement and sample pack for some of their additional products that one needs to use this. With the sample pack you get one eye cloth and two wipes, which means that if you buy this alone, you'll get one use out of it out of the package. This item is good, just wish I knew I was going to need to buy extra stuff for it.

My son had a stye that wouldn’t go away with a different compress (I accidentally blew that one up), so I tried this one. I should’ve bought this to begin with. The strap is way too big for him but I made it work and it doesn’t come off, and he keeps it on for a full 10-minutes at a time - something I couldn’t get him to do with a different one that he had to hold onto his eye (or I held it). He also likes to act like a pirate when he wears it, so there’s an added bonus of him wanting to use it.

I bought a double eye mask from my eye dr. When I saw Bruder made a single eye mask, I was returning the double eye. I have to apply moist heat for Meibomian gland dysfunction. 30 sec in the microwave is too hot for the single eye, 20 sec would be good. The heat lasts a heck of a long time when compared to doing a wet washcloth in a microwave. The washcloth stays hot for 10 sec at most. Get one of these. I heat one eye at a time and I can resume my normal daily life schedule. Recommended!

Good size for the eye. I bought this for my mom she doesn't like to wear it as a patch so I just wrap it in a wash cloth she puts it up against her eye it fits nicely and works just as good. The product heats up really good so be careful it gets nice and HOT!! So far no problems with the product burning through like other reviews, you just have to watch and gage the time and how hot you want it. I personally am happy with it

I had Bell's Palsy. The left said of my face was paralyzed. I couldn't close my eye lid. This product provided great protection for my eye as I slept at night. It covered my eye and protected it from getting scratched on the sheets, blankets and pillows. I highly recommend it and it is doctor recommended as well. I was taping my eye lid closed and my eye doctor strongly suggested I buy this patch. It was well worth it.

Love this eyepatch. Microwave it for 15 seconds, and it stays warm for several minutes, much longer than a washcloth does. I use it for sustained heat on my eye to clear up a chalazion and it is much more effective than a washcloth. I then use a washcloth in the shower and have seen better results with the combo (the secretions from the chalazion clear up much faster). Recommended.

I tried 3 other approaches/products here on Amazon that did nothing to reduce/soften my stye. Only the Bruder eye mask worked. I think 5-6 applications of a 30 second microwave heated mask, finally softened my stye until it drained/popped. Be careful to wrist test the heated mask before applying it to your eye. Apparently the eyelid has the thinnest skin anywhere on your body.

I had what was either a stye or chalazion, and my doctor suggested I get one of these and use it several times every day. It WORKED! Heat this up in the microwave and apply it to your eye, and it loosens up whatever gunk is backed up in your eyelash follicles. I really didn't think this would work better than a face cloth with hot water, but trust me... it does.

I bought a complete mask plus this one so I could see and do things. I’m so glad I got it bec I don’t have the time to lie down for 15-20 min and I have very bad dry eye. Recently I got a placenta patch in one eye. This patch is comforting and keeps my eye shut with mild pressure. Very happy I bought this single eye mask!

Very very very necessary for anyone who has recurrent styes! Heating water and putting a wash cloth on my eye got so annoying with my last very stubborn stye, so I really love how easy it was to simply throw this in the microwave and wear it on your eye while doing work. This has enabled me to actually take care of my stye.

This compress works very well. I have eyelid issues and occasionally get back styes. I heat the compress very well then put a thin wash cloth between the compress and my eye. I stays hot just long enough and is comfortable to wear. I do warn anyone using it to be careful though. It can burn is overheated.
