Versatile, all-season comfortable
This sweater is exceptionally versatile and comfortable. I've found it can be worn year-round in climates where different layers are needed at various times during the day, especially in coastal climates such as California's with cool mornings and evenings. I wear the polo over a merino or cotton t-shirt with jeans for work and dress slacks for dinner or evenings out.
The fit is loose enough to be comfortable but not overly so as to be sloppy or too casual. For those not familiar with how merino "feels" against one's skin, I'd describe it as similar to cashmere, but more comfortable and more versatile in terms of how it's maintained.
I have several Aklanda sweaters in my wardrobe and each is exceptionally well made, comfortable and with care, will last a lifetime. I can't recommend this or Aklanda's other sweaters high enough, and hope the colors the Polo collection is available in will be expanded.
