This sweater is exceptionally versatile and comfortable. It's heavier than the 3-button Polo I bought at the same time and is well suited to all but coastal California's warmest summer months. I wear it over a merino or cotton t-shirt with jeans for work and dress slacks for dinner or evenings out. The fit is loose enough to be comfortable but not overly so as to be sloppy or too casual. For those not familiar with how merino "feels" against one's skin, I'd describe it as similar to cashmere, but more comfortable and more versatile in terms of how it's maintained. I have several Aklanda sweaters in my wardrobe and each is exceptionally well made, comfortable and with care, will last a lifetime. I can't recommend this or Aklanda's other sweaters high enough, and hope the colors the Polo collection is available in will be expanded.

Have just received my sweater today and am very impressed with it. Typical of Aklanda, this is a very well made sweater that is nice and firm in construction with a great shawl collar that allows for it to be worn formally or casually. The pattern gives it something different as well.
