This wine cooler arrives in a very nice looking box (it would certainly make a good present) and when unpacked it looks quite smart. We tested it at the first family barbecue of the year - sadly there's only been one so far thanks to the non-Spring-like weather here in the UK. Ideally I'd have waited a bit longer before posting a review, in the hope that the weather might heat up, so this is very much a first impression. The wine bottle needs to be cooled in the fridge before being placed in the cooler but then the double-walled insulation does a good job to maintain the temperature. I'm not sure the claimed 6 hours would be achievable on a really hot day but most bottles of wine or champagne don't last that long anyway before they're fully consumed :). In fact, everything works as it should, including the wine stopper. My one reservation so far (apart from not having tested this on a hot day) is that single-handed pouring would probably be impossible for anyone with less than large hands. The dimples make the cooler easy to grip but the circumference is such that I could only hold it with both hands. Everyone at the barbecue had a go at holding it and the men definitely had more success with a one-handed grip than any of the women. Perhaps this cooler is a touch on the expensive side, £39.99 at the time of this review, but it's good quality and so far has worked well. Recommended.

Keeping a bottle cold is really easy with this stainless steel wine cooler. It doesn't need a supply of ice, or to be placed in the freezer to use it. Just chill your wine first, pop it in the cooler and it will stay cold. It will be ideal for outdoor use, as hiking up and down the garden to the fridge to top up a glass is not what you want when you're enjoying a relaxing time or in the midst of conversation. A family member said it looked like I'd got a thermos flask for wine. I guess it does have that aesthetic about it, perhaps because it's made from stainless steel and is double walled insulated. The top is placed over the neck of the bottle and screwed down. There's a ring of rubberised material around the opening to keep the bottle secured when the lid is in place. There's also a non slip base. In reality, it looks exactly like the images in the description. There are circular dimples on the sides which make it easier to grip, although I think it's rather bulky and it's not comfortable for me to use. My hand is really stretched to the max when holding it. It's designed to take various sized bottles, and if you're not filling it with Champagne or Prosecco, it's probably wider than it needs to be for a standard bottle of wine. There's a recess at the bottom, where a slimmer bottle will fit in, and then there's a huge gap down the sides between the bottle and the container. The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc I've so far used it with doesn't sit comfortably either in the recessed base, or on the inside rim properly, and only by twisting the lid down is the bottle held securely in place, or it would be sliding and wobbling around inside. It's a simple and clever design, but I do think it's also too wide and clumsy for me. There's a metal bottle stopper included too. It's got a heavy top on it, so ideal for sealing down into an opened bottle. Again, I'm not sure how useful this is for most wines these days, as corks have been replaced by screw tops. For champagne type bottles though, again this would be most useful. It would certainly make a welcome gift to take to a party, barbeque or house warming. It's well presented and it's smart and stylish. Perhaps it's best used for fizz.

Smart looking cooler, and actually does the job very well. Having used all sorts over the years, from double-walled clear acrylic to single-wall stainless, this Elevare does the job for longer, and looks the business while it's doing it. It's definitely one of those things where the price-point may cause you to pause and think about a purchase for yourself, but you'd be chuffed to receive it as a gift. Have to admit that I fall into that catagory, but having seen and used it, I know it's something that will be used and enjoyed for years to come. Roll on the summer!. On a quality/value-for-money basis... 4-Stars (5 if the price falls a little).

Well made, looks good and easy to use. This will be excellent in the summer to keep wine nicely cooled. The stopper is quite weighty which is good as it will fit the bottle to keep bugs out, who needs a stopper to keep wine for another day! The cooler is well presented in a really classy looking round box so it would make a nice present. I think it would be good if the cooler could be offered in a nice bright colour rather than the classy but slightly boring colours that are available.

Smart and well presented in a posh box which will serve well to keep the flask in when not in use. The cooler itself is basically like a huge travel mug, big enough for a bottle. It would benefit from being stored in the fridge / freezer before use to make it really cold as it does not have an electric/battery cooler mechanism. We worked out that we could put ice in the base (there is a dip in it) before adding the bottle which worked well. A very smart cooler for the table which would make a nice, if pricey, gift.

This wine cooler would make a good wedding gift. It’s stylish, easy to use and works well. I do think that at the current price of £39.99 it’s a bit more expensive than I would have expected. It does keep the wine nice and cool.

Arrives in a lovely looking box, ideal if being given as a gift You receive a good looking well made wine cooler. The cooler is made from stainless steel, two layers create the insulation. The black finish is very smart, looks so much better than I thought it would. Works a treat, nicely presented, would make a lovely gift.

I like the fact that this actually does keep my wine cool for a few hours without needing ice. The positives outweigh the downside which is that it's not easy for me to pour because my hands are small and the cooler makes it bulky.
