Review of: **Vascer Bike Lock Cable - 6ft (1/2") Commercial Heavy-Duty Bike Cable with Looped Ends, Anti-Theft PVC Coated Braided Security Steel Cable for Motorcycle, Ladder, Mower, Gate, Patio Outdoor Equipment** I was actually surprised at how beefy this cable is when I first opened the package. Very heavy, very thick, and the crimp holding the loop together is absolutely massive. I took a picture comparing it to my Kryptonite security cable and you can see how it dwarfs in comparison to this Vascer cable. I didn't try to cut through this thing, but if any cable is going to work, this will be the one. I've been using it to secure a couple of expensive mountain bikes in my truck bed when transporting, and love the yellow PVC coating to call out the fact that the bikes are secured with this beast of a cable. It should deter most potential thieves before they even try messing with it. I only have two cons with this Vascer cable - the lock crimps are not covered in vinyl or with a sleeve, and 6 feet is borderline too short. These are fairly minor issues, but the only reason I dropped from 5 to 4 stars. If neither of those are a big issue to you, then you should love this heavy-duty lock cable.

This cable is mostly steel, not thick plastic. Super heavy. This cable is very high quality.

This is not your typical steel cable. You can tell the difference when you feel the thickness and weight. We use this cable to secure our e-bikes to our bike rack for extra security. Highly recommend!

You roll it out straight for a day two .make more manageable

Theft can't be stopped, but you can make it more desirable for a thief to ply his trade elsewhere. A manual transmission Wrangler can be put into neutral and the brake off'ed and pushed or towed away. In addition to my steering wheel lock, I weave this cable between both the driver side mag wheels and a section of suspension. Nice eye catching color, very flexible for the diameter, soft non-damaging coating for the mags, and coils into a 16-inch diameter for stowage. I use this where tracking is impossible and cell reception is nonexistent.

Seems like it’s built tough so as to keep the lowlifes that stole my 400 tow bar here in glenwood springs and my 100 worth of gasoline in 3 containers not doing that 2 x. Won’t be able to do again I returned this though because I wanted the 20ft vs 15. So I’ll definitely be buying the 20 ft it was out of stock when I instead bought this 1

Great security cable. Heavy duty. It would be difficult and would take some effort to cut through this cable. Would have preferred the manufacturer cover the metal loop clamps as they scratched up my portable solar panels. I then covered the clamps with several layers of black electrical tape which eliminated the issue. Overall, pleased with purchase.

We got this to protect theft from our patio furniture at a restaurant and it is very thick and would be very hard to cut. Works exactly for what we needed

Quite heavy, strong cable. Bought to act as a 2nd lock on an electric etrike. Needed the 6ft to use on the 2 back wheels. Supposed to be hard to cut, here's hoping! A lot of bicycle thefts in Los Angeles.

The cable is THICK. I got this to lock up my SOUNBOKS + Yeti cooler in my truck bed while camping and it's great. I would highly recommend this

I ordered this to secure my home generator. Hopefully, it will work. The guy seeing up the generator said it's good

This is a great cable. I bought this to lock a bikes when in my truck using a tailgate rack. I would not trust this for all day security, but for quick rest stops on trips - this will make the bikes a bit harder to grab. The cable is long enough to stretch across the bed of the truck where I use two locks attached to the hold down loops. It is heavy, so you will not want to carry this with you. It can certainly be cut with the right tools, but this will make it harder. It does not roll up very small, so if you are going to carry this on a bike, you need a trunk, panier or back-pack.
