When I first read "Homer's Odyssey," 10 years ago, I was utterly charmed by the antics of the tiny blind cat. For the first time since childhood, I slept with a book under my pillow. It was just that special. I wanted to be able to touch it. I know, that sounds odd coming from a middle-aged woman. Yet, it's the absolute truth. I followed Homer on Facebook, and eventually had the honor of meeting Gwen Cooper in person. Gwen had shared her precious pets (her other two kitties were Scarlett and Vashti ... and eventually there were also Clayton and Fanny) with all of us and, honestly, I felt like Homer was almost one of *our* household. I was angered when people would post to Homer's fan page about how Gwen shouldn't share his picture; his lack of eyes bothered them. Yet, it never bothered homer. As Gwen said in the book, love isn't something you see with your eyes. Homer's passing devastated Gwen, her husband, and her fans. Yet, we all tried to do some good in the world. "Homer's Heroes" helped get cats adopted, raise funds for animal shelters and more. So it was that, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the book that brought Homer into so many households, Gwen decided to create and share this beautiful scrapbook. Personal photographs, new notes, and more adorn the 100 colored pages. I smiled and I cried (there are some poignant new stories inside). I loved it. Thank you, Gwen Cooper, for again sharing your precious pets with all of us.

Gwen Cooper could write The Phone Book- Part 2 and it would be on the NY Best Seller's List, she's just that good! She'd write it, AND it would be funny and captivatingly interesting! This scrapbook was an awesome idea! There is so much material in it, that it's bursting from the seams, not only with pictures of our favorite kitty, Homer, but of all of Gwen's cast of characters over the years, including Laurence! Nearly all of it is never before seen, which makes it that much more special for us. Of course, what would a Gwen Cooper publication be without the beautifully written words of our very own Gwen Cooper? Always great for some heartfelt honesty, a chuckle or two, a tug at our heartstrings, and dang it Gwen, a tear from our eyes, "Homer's World The 10th Anniversary 'Homer's Odyssey' Scrapbook" is a must read for everyone. My cat Martin agrees (he really could care less, he just wanted to be let go.)

Once again the author Gwen Cooper opens her heart to expose the love of her beloved blind cat Homer. Most interesting concept is her successful personal journey as a best selling author, advocate of blind cats & family photos of Homer along with her other cats. If you ever owned a cat the love you felt is portrayed & written on the pages of this newest collection in a scrapbook format pieced together from Gwen Cooper. This author also tirelessly donates money and time to keep Homer’s name alive 10 years later to benefit other felines. We as readers reap the rewards of wonderful personal cat stories and in a way pay it forward with each purchase during her promotions. 🐈

As an avid fan of Homer and of Gwen, I knew I had to see this book, but I thought I would enjoy it and then share it with another Homer-loving friend when I was done. Ha Ha! My copy arrived an hour ago and it will NEVER leave my house!! Gwen touches hearts and lives with her eloquent words and now my recently rescued meezer, Ross, is sitting in my lap while we read together, happily tearing up my tear-stained Kleenex. Thank you, Gwen, for sharing Homer with the world. And I know Rhoda, and millions more, agree! PS I just ordered another copy for my friend!

Always love a story written by Gwen Cooper and a Homer tale and cohorts or one or two in the mix is always welcome. Gwen is beloved by fans for her ability through her storytelling to make Homer and many of her other cats throughout the years ever since Homer’s Odyssey came out to become so very real to the reader and almost like they are in Gwen’s shoes. You laugh and cry with her and cheer and this book is no exception. Cheer you will and laugh as well letting out a tear here and there. Gwen can really write for her audience- animal lovers!!!

For Homer fans this will be something you will definitely want to add to your collection. I really enjoyed reading and seeing all the pictures and memorabilia. And if you have animal loving friends this paired with the original Homer book makes for an easy and fantastic Christmas gift! I think the scrapbook reminded just how big of deal it was/is to have a cat get the recognition they deserve in the literary world. We don't see enough cat stories and I would say Homer set the standard. So glad Gwen had the idea for the scrapbook!

If you love Homer... you will LOVE this book... I originally "read" about Homer on audio books so I never got to see all the pix that were in the original book... Great pix of Homer as a kitten and all his family and how they grew. It is a great way to celebrate Homer and his "hooman" who never gave up on him, even through 9/11... what a wonderful homage to an amazing kitty!!

If you are a fan of Gwen Cooper and her fantastic "Cat Tales", this book is a "MUST HAVE". If you are not a fan, then you must not have read any of her books yet! Once you have "met" Homer, you will never forget him. Not only is Gwen a fantastic author, she is also one of the nicest human beings I've had the pleasure to meet. Read her books and become a faithful follower!!

I'm a big Homer fan and really enjoyed Homer's Odyssey, and this is the perfect partner to that book! There are so many beautiful pictures inside of Homer and his family, it makes you feel even more connected to him than just reading the books alone! I also love all the extras in the book like the comic! If you're a Homer fan, then this is a must have!

What a wonderful book! I fell in love with Homer several years ago when I read Homer the Blind Wonder Cat! I’ve read all of Gwen’s books, but this one is like looking at a dear friend’s photo album. I usually read a book and pass them along, but Gwen’s books will stay at my home. Anyway, buy this book you’ll love it.

Gwen Cooper is a wonderful writer, and she could make a cat lover out of a cat hater! Her love for her felines is infectious. This book was a look back at wonderful years with Homer and her other kitties. I cried in several places, and most especially when I had finished it! However, I plan to revisit it soon! Thanks, Gwen!

I have never read a book by Gwen Cooper that I didn't love! This one is particularly fun since she shares pictures of Homer, Vashti and Scarlet, plus her present kitties, Clayton and Fanny and family pics. It's fun to see how her life loooks in pictures.

I bought this figuring there would be good pics of Homer, and there are! The pics in the paperback versions of her books are grainy and poor quality, so these were a welcome sight. Plus, more of them. Also interesting background letters and emails.
