Gwen Cooper is a great storyteller and she relates some of the funniest, most heartwarming tales about her cats in this series about Homer.

The writer comes across as more of a friend telling you about her cats. I loved this book as much as other books Gwen Cooper has written

I fell in love with the small black cat introduced in Homer's Odyssey, an amazing book! Thank you Gwen for again sharing Homer with us in this follow up story. Beautifully written. It made me smile and cry and hug my own fur babies a little closer.

Loved this sequel as much as the origunal Homer's Odyssey! Gwen Cooper is a sensitive writer who articulates well how much she loves her cats ... Just as much as I do!

Wonderful exploration of life with a blind kitten. I am on my third blind cat. My first was a kitten much like Homer, brave to the point of giving me heart failure. I wish I had known about Homer before taking in my first blind kitty, it might have made the journey less stressful, but my experience was magical just like the one with Homer and it brought back so many wonderful memories. I only foster cats/kittens. My first and second blind kittens have gone on to wonderful homes with special people who love them dearly. My third cat is 17 and new to blindness and is teaching me new things about an elderly cat that has lost her sight, not born that way. They all have a reason to live a full life and are capable of it and so much more. They can teach us so much if we allow them to do so. Read Homer only if you are a risk taker, a cat lover, (an animal lover in general), compassionate, loving, etc. any or all of the above, in otherwords, read HOMER and you will be taken on a journey like no other.

Begin with Homer’s Odyssey and you won’t be able to put it down... after that you’ll want to read everything about him that you can. He’s a blind cat that no one ever told him that he was blind so his bravery and love of life (and his human) is endless. A must read for anyone that loves cats beautifully written by Gwen Cooper.

There was nothing to dislike! Ms. Copper knows what it's like to love a cat, how they become part of your life. Homer was a lucky cat.

I had just finished Homer’s Odyssey and moved immediately to this book, which I read in a few hours. While I found much of Homer’s Odyssey to be wonderful and amazing, I found several instances in Homer to be laugh out loud funny. Yet, I spent the last chapters in tears, perhaps because I was reading it so immediately after meeting and growing with Homer in his first book. If Homer’s Odyssey was a firm 5 out of 5 stars, Homer is more of a 4.6 kind of five stars, if you follow me. Of course, part of that is because Homer is one-third the length of Homer’s Odyssey, so it can’t wallop with the same type of depth. For what it is, a kind of supplement to the prior book, it is excellent, fulfilling all of its promises. I recommend this book, particularly if one has read Homer’s Odyssey.
