There will be ugly tears, but in a good way. Reading new material about the lives that Homer touched seems to be the just right closure that "we" , as lovers of Homer, needed. Easy to read, But probably difficult to write. Good balance of all the characters, events, and insights. I was a FaceBook fan before Homer passed, and have enjoyed the community that has been built. Thank you, Gwen, for just a little more.

I really enjoyed this sequel to Homer's Odyssey. Reading about Homer's illness and death made me as sad as when they happened. I am thrilled that he lives on in organizations like Homer's Heroes, who have helped and rescued so many cats because of Homer's popularity and fame. Reading about the adoption and exploits of kitten litter mates Clayton and Danny was an enjoyable ending to this book.

This was a wonderful, but bittersweet book. Homer goes over the rainbow bridge, but lives on in the memories of all who knew him and all the kitties who loved him.

Thank you Gwen Cooper for giving us more about Homer and his siblings. I loved the part about Homer and the hotel room. If you haven't read the 1st Homer book, you must before reading this. Of course I cried. Homer was a gift to us all; given by Gwen and her wonderful way of capturing a true and pure love between man and beast, no matter how small.

The world is fortunate to have a writer as wonderful as Gwen Cooper. The animal world is lucky to have Gwen be writing about cats (yes, cat people do read all sorts of books, right Gwen). And, each of us who loves cats is thrilled to have been able to share in Homer's story. What an amazingly wonderful cat. This is a great follow-up to Homer's Odyssey. I highly recommend both books!

I read book of Gwen Cooper's book about Homer and her other kitties as well. I laughed, cried and remained "present" all throughout the books. In fact I read both twice!!! I recommend any of her books to anyone who loves animals, especially cats (with or without 'special' needs). The story about this cat was absolutely amazing, loved it!!!!

Once again you have brought Homer into my heart. You have been very blessed to have had him in your life. Thank you for saving him. And thank you for sharing him with the whole world. I hope that you write more about him and the other felines in your life. Merry Christmas Gwen. And Merry Christmas Homer, I know you are at the bridge watching over your mama and very pleased with her.

If you liked the first Homer book, you will not be disappointed with the sequel, both are wonderfully written by the talented Gwen Cooper. She truly possesses a gift in the art of writing. While cat and animals lovers will especially appreciate Homer's story, his life has lessons for all. If you have not read Homer's Odyssey, do yourself a favor and order both books. If you did read it, this sequel is a must read. Loved it!

I loved reading about Homer's life in the first book, and am grateful Gwen Cooper wrote this shorter, but just right in length, book, to share her experiences in Homer's later years, as well as her beloved Vashi, Scarlett, Fanny and Clayton - the other cats in her life.. I think anyone who has loved an animal will both laugh and grieve with Gwen. I'm glad I made this purchase, and will be buying additional copies for gifts.

Having read Homers Odyssey, I was eager for more, this filled the bill. Though a life ending is hard to deal with, much good has resulted. And new lives go on!

I love the way Gwen Cooper tells the story of her beloved Homer. First I read Homer's Odyssey and followed up with this book. They are must read for anyone who has ever loved an animal. Her words brought me back to my own black cat and the life and love we had together. Also, don't miss reading Love Saves The Day, another great Gwen Cooper book.

Yet another book by Gwen that tugs at your heart . It is hard to read about homer's passing and not be touched by how hard it must have been for her and Lawrence . One of our cats is getting older, is on a few meds now , and will most likely pass away in the coming year. Reading this book will help me deal with the loss of our Amana Kmart when it does happen. Thanx Gwen. =^..^=
