This is a funny and heart-warming book that will inspire both cat lovers and aspiring authors alike. Not only does Gwen Cooper reveal behind-the-scenes anecdotes of Homer's rise to fame, but she shares her struggles of finding a publisher who'd believe in the appeal of her and Homer's story. After a barrage of rejections, the first Homer book, Homer's Odyssey, became a best-seller, published in many different languages. This self-published sequel contains more humorous Homer anecdotes, as well as details of his sad passing. Cooper also shares stories about her other cats-- and Homer's buddies-- Scarlett and Vashti, and her newest furbabies, Clayton and Fanny. She maintains Homer's Facebook page to help other "special" kitties in need of permanent families. A quick, concise, and meaningful read!

I enjoyed the first book to the extreme, well written and very exciting also very real when describing kitty antics. I kind knew going in that the 9th life would be about his demise, so I was sad, can't help it. But I am a devoted Gwen Cooper and Homer fan. I loved Homer & her early portrayl of the delicate way she handeled this special cat rings so true to cat owners & lovers. There was no way I wasn't going to buy the book.
